Elizabeth I, the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, was another prominent Tudor monarch. She reigned from 1558 to 1603 and is often referred to as the “Golden Queen” or the “Virgin Queen.” Elizabeth I presided over a period of cultural and economic growth, known as the Elizabethan era, which saw the rise of English literature, exploration, and the defeat of the Spanish Armada.
The obverse side of the 2023 2 oz Silver Tudor Beasts Bull of Clarence Coin comes with a first-ever portrait of King Charles III. The debut portrait of his reign, this design was created in late 2022 by Martin Jennings. Charles III is captured in left-profile relief and is not wearing a crown on his head.
On the reverse of 2023 British Silver Tudor Beasts Bull of Clarence Coins is the image of the namesake beast. Here, the Bull supports a shield with the Tudor Rose. The bull is often depicted rampant, standing on its hind legs with its forelegs raised and its head lowered. This fierce posture represents aggression and readiness for battle.
