The front side of this exquisite round offers a reproduction of the Double Eagle coin designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The image was first used on the $20 Gold Double Eagle in 1907 and remained in production through 1933. His original design from 1907 is considered one of the greatest in American coining history and is often replicated on various precious metals products, including these 1 oz SilverTowne Saint-Gaudens Silver Rounds.
Tubes of 20 rounds, or a box of 500 rounds.
Replicates Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Liberty image from 1907!
Contains 1 oz of .999 pure silver.
Minted by the SilverTowne Mint.
The obverse features a front-facing effigy of Lady Liberty. On the reverse is the American bald eagle.
The SilverTowne Mint has reproduced this round with impeccable attention to detail. Lady Liberty is seen boldly striding forward with rays of the sun at her back and her left foot caressing the edge of a cliff. Her raised right-hand bears a lighted torch, and her left hand is clasped around a branch from the olive tree. She is encircled by a ring of stars. One is awed by the determined expression on her face in addition to the exquisite fine rendering of the scene.
The reverse side of the round bears the image of an eagle in a proud stance with finely rendered arched wings. While no date or currency value is assigned to these rounds, the reverse side is timelessly stamped ONE OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER, and signed SilverTowne in graceful cursive writing. The “T” is fashioned into an axe in the process of striking.
