This is so true, that it is undeniable. Broken cars, furniture, teeth, shoes, and computers can be fixed, but you simply cannot fix stupid. The most obvious demonstration of this fact, is that Mitt Romney and Obama are not only tied, but Obama is a couple of points ahead. Now, look at who Obama is counting on, and weep. He will undoubtedly get 95% of the Hispanic and black vote. This takes care of a lot, and of course is in line with stupid cannot be fixed. Blacks and Hispanics, like most of his crowd, believe his continual lies. They may not be stupid, but they obviously don’t think or read, or they wouldn’t vote for him. Being a functional illiterate, may not indicate stupidity, but it surely does indicate laziness, and even worthlessness. It’s fun to watch re-runs of “Gunsmoke” in the afternoons, and know that Festus can’t read or write. It’s a good show, but in real life “Festus,” was one of the founders of the Sons of the Pioneers, had a great singing voice, and excelled at acting, singing and business.
Some of the great names in education, business, and engineering, had terrible childhoods with abusive parents and little encouragement. Still, they decided to excel, and did. Today, none of the stupid can avoid watching the successful on TV, if no other place, and if they weren’t so stupid, they would aspire to succeed. Most of the greats in history with humble beginnings, had no TV or radio to watch and emulate, or aspire to be like. So, the stupids will vote for Obama, even though he lies continuously in his speeches and advertising. Maybe you can’t fix stupid, but can you fix an avalanche of lying advertising and speeches?
There are also lots of smart people, or at least they think they are. Do they ever read? I am about through a book loaned to me, called “The Great Destroyer,” and it details every last thing Obama has done to destroy this Republic. It is shocking, but I read a lot, and finished “What the bleep?” which was good, but “The Destroyer” makes my blood boil. If the so-called smart people don’t read books, but watch TV or read newspapers, they have to know that millions are unemployed, the National Debt is over $16 trillion, and a quick look around any town or city will show many empty stores, and bankrupt gas stations, with ’for rent’ signs on them. In my town of 17,000, there are many empty stores, gas stations, and foreclosed houses. The economic conditions everywhere, are miserable, and it is impossible to not observe the facts of a bad economy. It isn’t difficult to know that gasoline was less than half of what it is now, compared to when Obama was elected. The unemployment rate was about half four years ago, than what it is now. How can a ’smart’ person discard these facts, and vote for the President responsible for it?
