Or it can be a pebble in a shoe. Ever go on a hike, and have a stone in your shoe? You have to stop and get it out, or you will end up with a very sore foot. Ever try to ride a horse with a burr under its saddle? He can’t be ridden very successfully, to put it mildly. Rocks in shoes, burrs under saddles, or similar will spoil a day or trip.
Probably the biggest burr under the saddle of the entire world…is Israel. Israel makes the entire world furious. Israel, and its prime ministers, who have deliberately built, and built, and built…on land they do not own, have infuriated the world, and continue to do so. Israel, whose arms supply is continually replenished by America, is the burr under the saddle of the entire world. Israel, who takes great delight in invading what’s left of Palestine, and destroying houses and buildings on a whim of their having belonged to a bomber or the bomber’s family, is a rock in the world’s shoe. There is not a single nation in the entire world, that wouldn’t be ever so grateful, if Israel disappeared, or was bombed into nothingness.
America thinks Israel is its pal. America loves to bail out, and support Israel. Israel has bombed American ships, and spied on America. Israel has stolen from America, but America thinks Israel is its greatest friend, and well worth risking abject, violent, brutal, unrequited terrorism here at home. America thinks Iraq and Afghanistan are responsible for the World Trade Centers bombing, but they aren’t. Israel is responsible. Israel is a tiny little land with brass balls. Israel, without America, would cease to exist. America, without Israel’s influence, would abandon it tomorrow. Many Americans would love to see Israel bombed into eternity. Without American support and bailouts of Israel, the world may be at peace. Israel is stuck in the middle of its long term enemies. Israel was placed there by the United Nations, over everyone’s objections. Israel, is a burr under the saddle of the world, which irritates continually, and shows no signs of going away…as long as its influence continues to buy protection from America.
There are those that believe Israel’s existence fulfills Biblical prophecy. I don’t. I think Israel should cease to exist, and the lands it occupies returned to those who owned it for a thousand years, only to have it confiscated by the United Nations. I am really sick of Israel!
