I remember when bottled water first came on the mass market for 65 cents, and I was outraged, as it was more expensive than gasoline. Still, people bought it. Now it is $2.00 for a bottle in places! Would I pay $2.00 for a bottle of water? Hell no, but millions are. What is wrong with Americans, to get sucked into such as this? Water for $10 a gallon, or more? At the super market, one can still buy water for under 75 cents per gallon, which is reasonable, considering the markup, cost of plastic bottle, and bottling it. But $10 a gallon, or more, just because it is convenient, and in a small plastic bottle? There are some things that defy all laws and sensibilities of logic and reason, and $2.00 for a bottle of water is absurd. Why do thoughtless people do this? Coca-Cola is about the same price. Years ago, I priced plastic gallon bottles and cartons of four. I was going to get a big truck and bottle Silverton Colorado water in gallon bottles for sale in Phoenix, or other places where the water is, as far as I could see, so rotten tasting, as to make it un-drinkable, regardless of its safety. Silverton has magnificent water, straight from mountain streams. I thought it was a good idea, and maybe it still is at $2.00 per bottle. The stuff one gets at $2.00 now, is merely plain water, not from any particular place as exposes’ have shown. Maybe a gallon of Silverton water would be worth $2.00, or a small bottle an equal $2.00. If you live in a place where there is good water, you might get on the high profit bandwagon, as silly Americans are gobbling up water in small plastic bottles for $2.00, and the cost of the water and bottle couldn’t be more than a dime.
