As the war in Iraq continues, with more kidnappings and beheadings, isn’t it time to think about November, and who got us into it? It wasn’t Bush, in his determination to get even for his daddy. Nor was 156 Representatives and 23 Senators who didn’t do it, by voting not to give the President his power to do as he pleases in Iraq. The rest voted to allow Bush to get us into this mess, and they should be voted out of office, regardless of seniority or party membership. 356 Senators and Congressmen and women voted to give George W. Bush the power to get us into Iraq, with no known way to ever extricate us. These 356 may bring down the Republic with funny money, and creating enemies of America all around the globe. It is impossible to bring democracy into a land where they haven’t the slightest idea of what it is. Isn’t it time to declare victory and leave? We did it in Vietnam and they have done quite nicely without us. Are we doomed to “save” Saudi Arabia too? We are so flush with troops, that 12,000 are being taken from Korea and moved to Iraq. Here comes the draft. The plans are already made. Damn all 356 and Dubya too.
