I ’m back in high school again with a book report. Finished Pat Buchan’s book “STATE OF EMERGENCY,” and highly recommend it. As usual, well written, naturally with a bit of Catholicism thrown in, which doesn’t detract from it one bit. The stats on the numbers of illegals are frightening. More illegals are here now than the total number of legals in all of our history, almost. Pat goes into how we acquired Texas in great detail, as well. Read it and pass it on, because it needs to be read. It’ll make you hate George Bush and the D.C. Gang even more.
At the Phoenix Airport, while waiting to change planes, I saw a book whose title grabbed me, and I bought it. It is a total waste of money and time. If you see “The Case For Impeachment” on a book stand, save your money. I hate the man, and would love to see him thrown out, but it isn’t going to happen. The book’s contents are so flimsy and absurd. Phrases like, “The Bush White House,” and “Republicans did,” don’t convict one man. “The Bush Administration,” doesn’t convict one man. After the House would vote for impeachment by simple majority, it would take two thirds of the Senate to convict him, and that will never happen, even if the Demos capture both houses in November. One would think that a responsible press (St. Martins) would read a book, and decide it it had merit before they published it. Now I’ll read Tom Tancredo’s book, and let you know.
CLOSED FRIDAY AND ALL NEXT WEEK “How can you do that? Suppose I need you?” That might be your reaction, but I cannot help it people. I am 72, haven’t seen my son, daughter in law, and their twins for two years, and by god I am going east. I’m going to the Old Thresher’s Reunion in Mt. Pleasant Iowa again and watch machinery work to my heart’s content. We’re taking the train and are in a bedroom and let the train do the driving. A 2 1/2 day drive is accomplished overnight while we sleep and it doesn’t get much better than that when you need to go somewhere. I get on Friday, and Saturday morning, we’re there. No phone calls, no gold and silver, and no advice. I also may give my wife a Christmas Present of a trip to some warm place this winter too, and I will leave for a week or so. I am as faithful as a one man operation can be, so I just hope you don’t need me Friday, or next week, ’cause I’m not going to be here. Buy Pat’s book, but forget impeaching Dubya. It isn’t going to happen.
