Coffee!

I really do like coffee.  Black coffee, and good coffee.  I have discovered a small coffee plantation in Puerto Rico, owned by a doctor and his wife as a sort of hobby.  I have absolutely no interest in this in any way, but I bought a five pound bag of this coffee and it is absolutely the best coffee I have ever tasted.  It is grown with no chemicals and is totally organic.  (The doctor is a toxicologist specialist and knows what effect chemicals can have on the body). It is sun dried and hand picked, meaning that no diesel powered driers are used, and each bean is hand picked just at the correct time, so that no green or over-ripe beans are included.  He and his wife produce but 800-1,000 pounds per year, and except as you readers may wish to participate, is sold locally.  I am deeply impressed with this coffee and think you may wish to try it.  Here are the particulars:

1 lb. – $15.  2 – 4lbs. – $14 per pound.  5 lb bag $12 per pound. Free shipping in continental US for 10 pounds or more.  If you wish to e-mail your order, the e-mail address is cafedelamatta@yahoo.com. The prices reflect a 25% discount for readers of this column, which I think is a nice touch.  Your ordering this coffee will be its first entry into the continental US, and you will undoubtedly love it…if you love coffee.  (I paid full price).  I got whole beans and grind them prior to using them, but they will grind your order to suit.  The roasting of this year’s crop is now about finished, so it will be a super fresh organic coffee grown on the sunny slopes of Puerto Rico in the correct soil.  If you wish a description and order form I have it and can e-mail it to you.  Neat stuff.  Now how’s that for no screaming and hollering about The D.C. Gang?  See?  I can be nice!  Have a great weekend!
