Republican’s Best Friend

That’s John Kerry, of course.  What an ass!  He blew a joke, which was intended to make George Bush look stupid, and it came out as a hideous slam on our armed forces.  Then he refused to apologize.  As one wag on MSNBC this morning called him, “The Republican’s gift that keeps on giving.”  Kerry is not as smart as Bush, I don’t think.  He has a habit of marrying rich women and widows.  Maybe he’s a great lover with than thick head of hair which he has professionally groomed daily.  His face is rather oddly shaped, and I don’t think any one could consider him handsome, but his dough keeps him the darling of the nation’s most liberal state, which is ’Taxachussets.’  In 2004, veterans hated him and didn’t vote for him, and the group that exposed his fraudulent heroism wasn’t lying.  He’s a total disaster for his party, and Republican’s best friend.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if the Republicans won because of Kerry’s mistake and Bush’s whirlwind tour?

I watched Bush give his speech in Georgia yesterday, and he has it down to each pause and expression.  Whoever wrote that speech did a wonderful job, and Bush seems to have it down pat.  It is kind of funny watching him turn the heavy, plastic bound pages every few seconds, which means to me that the speech must be written in 36 point bold or larger, so he doesn’t have to strain his eyes to pick it up, since teleprompters or those glass things he usually looks at aren’t available at his last minute combing of the country for votes.  He is delivering a hell of a speech and doing it very well, I must admit.  I think the election is not so sure at this point, and I guess I do care at least a little bit.  I am still a registered Republican, even though I have already voted absentee for Libertarians except locally.  I think you waste your vote if you don’t vote for who you would like to win, even though you may know they won’t.  A vote is wasted to vote for the “lesser of the evils,” in my opinion.

The up-coming election is amusing, if nothing else.  Maybe Kerry will be so helpful to the Republicans that they won’t lose so badly or even win.  He now has decided that he won’t appear in various places he was scheduled to appear, as his appearance would harm rather than help.  I thought that the same thing was true of Bush, but honestly, after hearing and seeing him deliver that speech in Georgia yesterday, he might pull it off for his D.C. Gang.  Who knows?  He’s never looked any better, and for someone who dislikes him intensely, (me) that’s quite an admission!
