Understand this, you boobs in D.C. America invaded a sovereign nation who had made no threats to us, which had an elected president, and which nation was at peace, whole, and whose infrastructure was complete and operating. There was no unemployment or strife, and its capital Baghdad as well as the rest of Iraq was beautiful and splendid. That president had allowed inspections over and over again, and the inspectors found no weapons of mass destruction. His nation had invaded neighbor Kuwait previously, as Kuwait had been cross drilling into his land, and stealing his oil. He was told by one April Glaspie, an American envoy, that America would not object if he invaded Kuwait. Saddam was convicted by a kangaroo court with no jury, and with judges appointed by strong U.S. influence. ’Patsy’ judges and ’fixed’ court, in other words. Saddam was ’convicted’ of having a part in the murder of 140 people 25 years ago, and there was no proof of his guilt, nor witnesses. Now he will be hung? When has this ever happened before? Don’t say Nuremburg, because Germany declared war on us. Saddam declared war on no one, sunk no American ships, bombed no one, nor did he invade his neighbors. You think there have been huge mistakes in Iraq so far? You think you have seen violence, beheadings, and sectarian murders in Iraq? You haven’t seen anything yet, if Saddam is hung. Iraq will explode, if Saddam is hung, in my opinion. Millions of Iraqis still idolize him. He should be turned loose, we should leave, apologize, pay for damages, and sit back and see what happens to him. His blood, if there is any, would then not be on our shoulders. Let his people decide. Maybe they will hoist them up on their shoulders and make him king. Maybe they will murder him and decapitate him. It should be his former subjects who decide his future, not an invading, destroying nation, which has offices in his former palace. Or is that wrong? Please tell me I am incorrect!
R.I.P. Jerry Ford, who was perhaps America’s least colorful, least active, non-voted-into-office President in history. He offended no one, and probably lost to Jimmy Carter because he pardoned Tricky Dick.
