More War?

Is America being treated to more lies from the White House?   Tuesday’s news said that it has been ’discovered’ that Iran has been helping the Iraqis, which may be true, but the absurdity of the lies which followed, makes me think that the vast armada of naval ships gathered off of Iran are there to invade.  The Pentagon release says that captured computer discs found on Iranian soldiers had serial numbers and all sorts of detailed information on Iranian missiles and explosives sent to Iraq.  Oh Please!  We didn’t all just get out of kindergarten.  Some of us can still think and realize the absurdity of that.  Here are a few Iranians (how did they know?  Did they speak farsi?) caught just inside the Iraq border, and they have computer discs with serial numbers and inventories of things sent to Iraq?  Doesn’t that seem just about as impossible as any Pentagon or White House ’release’ can get?

Bush has been assembling a huge naval force outside Iran for months now, and recently a second aircraft carrier was brought in, and I ask:  For what?  What other reason could there possibly be, other than to invade Iran?  Surely the Senate and House members are aware of this.  Mightn’t it be wise to inform his majesty that he is absolutely prohibited from attacking Iran?  Do they realize that an attack on Iran would possibly bring on WW III?  It’s awfully lucky that our Iraq attack didn’t cause a lot more consternation among its neighbors than it did.  Can we imagine the opinions held by Muslims around the world, when Americans (infidels) attacked the secular Muslim state of Iraq?  Is it difficult to imagine their feelings and actions if we do it again to Iran?  America, in the opinion of Pat Buchanan (and I agree) is that we are no longer the strongest force in the world, nor the richest or influential.  We have blown it, in other words.  Hunpty Dumpty America has fallen off the wall, and Bush is seeing to it that it cannot be put back together again.  LBJ’s Vietnam, Truman’s Korea, and now Bush’s Iraq, have ruined the dollar, destroyed our credibility, and bled us to a virtual death.  An invasion of Iran would finish us, I am quite certain.  Write to your Congressman is the general urge…as if it would change anything.
