My two favorite holidays are July 4th and Thanksgiving, so on the eve of Thanksgiving, I want everyone to give thanks for everything good and gracious. Give thanks for being an American, or for being in America. Give thanks for the remaining freedoms we still have. Give thanks for our up-bringing and our wonderful parents who cared for us. Give thanks for our church, pastor, home, and the place we live. Give thanks for our incomes, stability, and families. Give thanks for our kids and grandkids. Give thanks that not since 1812 have we been attacked. Give thanks for our armed forces, and brave soldiers, airmen, and sailors who give their lives and health, performing their duties in other lands. Be thankful for the red, white and blue, George Washington and his brave troops at Valley Forge. Give thanks for Thomas Jefferson, who was perhaps the most brilliant of men who ever lived in America. Give thanks and pray that we will survive, I guess.
Do not give thanks for the Bush clan, our far too numerous wars in other lands, where we had no business being. Do not give thanks for the Federal Reserve, nor virtually the entire D.C. Gang. Hope that Ron Paul will make a dent in the downward travail we are suffering. And of course protect yourself from our faltering dollar. Think of a way to make it go up. Enjoy Turkey Day!
