A long habit of not thinking a thing WRONG, gives it a superficial appearance of being RIGHT. Thomas Paine, February 14, 1775.
Why are the majority, so stupid? Is it because that for so long, not thinking things either wrong or stupid, gives them an aurora (aura?) of being smart and correct? Is it because most seem to need to look up to, or even worship something or someone they consider to be superior to themselves? Are most so insecure and un-thinking that they take ’official’ utterances and practices for not only granted, but to be so correct and wonderful, as to be almost infallible? Is it because we have been governed by the D.C. Gang for well over 200 years, that the majority think what proceeds out of their mouths and votes is correct? When the President says, we are being threatened by ’terrorists,’ everyone gets worried and places new bureaucracies in place. The word ’terrorism’ has become so common, and we have been urged to fear it so much, that we actually believe we are threatened by them. We willingly take our shoes off when trying to board a plane, because the D.C. Gang says it must be done to protect us from ’terrorists.’ Funny, I don’t think we are being threatened by ’terrorists,’ and if a couple did lurk in the shadows of a New York Subway station, no damage they could do could possibly equal the costs and nuisance to the national vogue, as worrying and legislating about ’terrorists’ has cost and caused.
Is it because the D.C. Gang or President thought it would be wise to construct a ’space station,’ that hundreds of billions of dollars has been spent to build this contraption, and continually enlarge it and keep it up there? (Without continually boosting, it would plummet to earth). What purpose has it, or even could it serve, other than be a total waste of time and money? Want a space station? Then build it on the Moon, assuming we have ever been there in the first place. Ever stop to think what computing power it would take to get to the Moon and back? Did we possess that, when we supposedly went there over 40 years ago? If we did, why has no one ever been there since, but are at this time figuring out how to do it? For the fun of it, go to Google and ask the question, “Did we go to the Moon?” About 20% of Americans believe that we did not, which is about the same number who believe that 9/11 was an inside job, and the JFK assassination couldn’t have been done by Lee Harvey Oswald. The latter two I am certain about. Are there only 20% of Americans who can think and doubt what emits from D.C.?
Perhaps examine current pop music. Music? Is what parades about as ’music,’ which is making millionaires out of the supremely untalented, really ’music?’ Is it ’music,’ when men grunt poor poetic inventions to drum beats? Is it ’dancing,’ when people face each other and shake their arms and bodies? Is it ’art’ to worship the likes of Jackson Pollack, and pay millions for one of his canvases, which any third grader could probably duplicate effortlessly? Or is true music a creation by Beethoven and Mozart, or even Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman? Is true ’dance,’ a waltz, or at least when both partners hold each other and move in rhythm to melodious music? Isn’t true ’art,’ that which requires talent and sophistication, which we have been treated to for centuries…at least till the present one? Why do the masses worship the untalented and gross? Is it because when something is declared to be ’in,’ that the masses automatically follow the pseudo leaders into perdition?
Was Frank Lloyd Wright, really a great architect? Or are his creations impossible to maintain, and stark linear ravings of a semi-lunatic? Picasso’s first renderings showed a wonderful talent. When he found out that he could draw the absurd, and sell them for fortunes, he had it made, and his followers followed him like the Pied Piper. Is modern ’poetry’ really ’poetry?’ Or is it merely blank verse, which is praised to the sky by critics, who probably wouldn’t know an apple from an orange, but have been puffed up by the media and other critics or lame professors, who wouldn’t know the difference either?
Is the earth really on the brink of catastrophe because of carbon dioxide, or is this another sham, proclaimed by morons who have degrees taught by other morons? Think about the very phrase, ’greenhouse gases.’ Aren’t greenhouses, wonderful places? Full of humidity, and growing plants? All I ask is that people THINK. Two decades ago, the bearded professors and prophets of doom with numerous fancy degrees, thought we were going to freeze to death, and another ice age was upon us. Remember the ’hole in the ozone layer?’ That was supposed to be so catastrophic, that we were going to burn to death from the raw, unfiltered, sun’s rays. The ozone hole has been there probably for billions of years, and it was there when the ozone layer was first discovered. Want to know what to do with nuclear waste? Dump it in the ocean, where it will be so diluted that a billion year’s worth couldn’t be detected. We used to drop poop and pee from passenger trains harmlessly on the tracks, so the sun and rain could wash it away for fertilizer, and bleach it. Same with boats, but horrors, we can’t do that now! Can anyone tell me why? The D.C. Gang uttered it, and we must obey the dummies, because they pass the laws we are forced to obey and pay for out of profits and national solvency.
Know where the deep basso profundo voices on the media and on the screen come from? From endless cigarette smoking, which gives one a deep bass voice, while is causes lung cancer at the same time. Both Jim and Don Ameche died a long time ago from lung cancer, as did Edward R Murrow and numerous other wonderful voices. I think I’ll keep mine, and never smoke. Way back in the 1940’s, my Dad had a pharmacist in his drug store named Ralph Boyer. Boyer’s wife Barbara, had been a telephone operator in Hollywood a decade before. She used to tell of the filth and scum she overheard from those adored Hollywood stars, even way back then. Is it really true that members of Congress have criminal records, lousy credit, and are as morally low on the totem pole, as any current Hollywood star, or jail inmate?
Why do we all seem to not only ’follow the leader,’ which was a game I used to play as a kid, but continue to do so after we reach adulthood? As Henry Higgins said in “My Fair Lady,” “Why is thinking never even tried? Straightening up their hair is all they ever do. Why don’t they straighten up the mess that’s inside?” Higgins was singing about women, but it applies to males as well, if not more so. No wonder that if 99% of the world happens to have surplus assets, they follow the leader, right down the tubes, by saving in currency denominated stuff.
Now that I have gotten the week off with more of my insight, excuse me for being able to see through man’s idiocy. Even though my rantings are put aside by most, it’s fun to be able to do it at no cost!
