My Opinion

I can  write about what I want to write about, and this is a classic case.  It has nothing to do with economics, and if you don’t agree, I don’t care.  The following is an exact quote from the morning paper in my small town.

“An O….. man suspected (why does it have to be “suspected” when he was caught red handed?) of killing his son and injuring four others Sunday in a traffic crash, was highly intoxicated, prosecutors said.  Juan Prieto-Gonzalez, 32, had a blood alcohol content of .257, the district attorney’s office said.  Prieto-Gonzalez also has a lengthy criminal history, replete with nearly a dozen aliases, and a prison record for impersonation.  Prieto-Gonzales was traveling at a high rate of speed and didn’t slow for the stop sign he ran.  The CBI reports listed 11 aliases and four birth dates allegedly used by Prieto–Gonzales.  One of the aliases reportedly used showed attempted illegal re-entry into the United States.  The CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigation) lists seven prior cases tied to Prieto-Gonzalez or his aliases.  These included several allegations of driving under the influence, no proof of insurance, driving without an operator’s license and failure to appear.  Other cases from Denver and Aurora were tied to an alias Prieto-Gonzalez was alleged to have used; these included domestic violence.”  Is he an illegal?  The paper doesn’t say.

If it were my choice, I would have him hung by the neck until dead.  Or a firing squad or an electrocution.  Why has America become so mamby-pamby?  Why does it matter if an execution is painless or not?  Who cares?  Why aren’t there ten thousand executions each year?  Why do we coddle and attempt to reform hardened criminals?  Why don’t we post signs in Spanish on our borders saying that trespassers will be shot?  Then shoot the intruders!  Why is it supposed to be human and kind to worry about the welfare of rapists, robbers, and criminals of all levels?  Who care about them?  Do they care about their victims?  If a robber breaks into my house I will shoot to kill, and not give it a second thought.  Colorado has a
“Make my day” law, and I love it.

Why is there welfare?  Why am I forced to pay for welfare without a vote or choice as to whom it is given?  Why does my government send hundreds of billions of dollars to other nations as ’foreign aid?’  Why does my government invade other nations such as Iraq, who has done nothing to us, and the same with Afghanistan, Vietnam and Korea?  Why does Obama and his gang have the right to spend $10 trillion or more without my having a chance to vote for it?  Who do they think they are anyway?  What Constitutional provision do they have?  Does the Constitution mean anything any more?  It has been proven over and over again that 9/11 is a total fraud, but people still believe the government explanation of it.  They still believe that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK, even though that was a physical impossibility.  Why are Americans so dumb, I suppose is my question?

Why do Americans still save in dollars?  It’s the same as storing water in a leaky bucket, but 99% of Americans do it, out of habit, and because they are incapable of logical thought.  Why are Americans so lacking in logic, that they trust some ’financial advisor’ to invest for them?  Can’t they think for themselves?  Why are there penitentiaries?  If a guy is that bad, why hasn’t he been executed rather than placed there?  Why aren’t all sheriffs like Joe?  Arizona loves him, and if all sheriffs were like Joe, their people would love them too.  Americans would love to see ten thousand executions each year.  Americans don’t give a good damn if an execution is painful or not. so why waste taxpayer money?  I’m 75, and I have watched my beloved country go from wonderful to crummy, bankrupt, and out of control.  I am sick of seeing it decay every month, week, and even day.

Seen the new GM battery powered thing?  How absurd!  A golf cart re-worked would do much better, but that’s too simple I am sure!. Maybe it’s this type of corporate geniuses that got GM into the mess it is in as well as Ford, and Chrysler.  Why didn’t Ford pay down debts rather than buying Volvo?  Why didn’t GM pay down its debts rather than buying Hummer?  Why hasn’t Cadillac made a pretty car in decades?   I read about all the rich people who have been wiped out by the various scam artists like Madoff, and they don’t understand gold and silver other than jewelry.  Just imagine where they’d be if those people had invested $50 billion in gold and silver.  Boggles the mind.  They’d probably have come close to doubling their dollars rather than losing all of them.

A paragraph from page 11 of Pat Buchanan’s book titled “Day of Reckoning” (highly recommended):  “Why did America not secure her borders, enforce her laws, repel the invasion, and expel the intruders?  Because our leaders are terrified of charges of racism, lack moral courage, and because the United States has ceased to be a democratic republic.  The will of the majority is no longer reflected in public policy.  State and local referenda to deal with the illegal alien crisis are routinely invalidated by federal judges, as immigration laws go unenforced by federal officials.”  I ask:  Why are there such things as “federal judges?”  The Tenth Amendment says that it is the states which govern themselves, not the D.C. Gang.  Why shouldn’t Arizona or Arizona citizens who live on the border, shoot illegals as they cross Arizona’s or their property’s borders?  From page 181:  “The America of John F. Kennedy, 89% white and 10% of African descent, an essentially bi-racial country united by a common culture, creed, history, and tradition, is gone.  We threw it away.”  From page 195:  “If free trade is best for nations, how is it that every modern state that rose to preeminence and power:  Britain before 1846, the United States from 1860 to World War II, Germany from 1870 to 1914, Japan after World War II, and China today; was and is protectionist?”  From page 229:  “Every man seeks security for himself and his family.  Kill the corporate welfare state, as free trade is doing, and you increase the constituency and clamor for the government welfare state.”   Pat used to be a ’free trader,’ until he saw the light.

Melissa and I are going to California Thursday (today), and Friday, to visit our supplier, A-Mark, so it’s up to David to take care of you.  We’ll be back Monday.
