Two Guys

The ’Two Guys,’ are both construction workers, probably in California, often called “Mexifornia,” for obvious reasons.  One of the guys, Joe, is a legal American.  The other guy, Jose, is an illegal from Mexico.  He came here for a better life style, and probably has his wife and several kids with him.  Joe, the American citizen, makes $25 an hour.  Jose, the Mexican illegal, makes $15 an hour in cash “under the table.”  Jose has never had it so good, and has raised his lifestyle hundreds of percentage points since he and his family sneaked (Please, not ’snuck’) across the border.  Joe works hard, obeys all laws, and pays his way 100%.

Jose pays no taxes, and at the end of a year, has $31,200, or $15 an hour, (40 hours a week, X 52 weeks).  Joe at $25 an hour,  (40 hours a week X 52 weeks), makes $52,000.  Or does he?  Joe pays 30% in taxes, and ends up with $31,231 at the end of a year.  Or does he?  Joe pays medical and dental insurance, which partially covers him and his family for $1,000 a month, which cuts his income at year’s end to $19,231.  Jose still has his $31,200, because all of his medical expenses are paid by various levels of government.  Is that it?  No, because Joe makes far too much to get food stamps, and pays $1,000 a month for food for himself and his family.  This leaves him with $7,231.  Jose gets food stamps for himself and his family, so he still has $31,200.

Joe has never been able to afford a home, so he rents for $1,000 a month.  He now has a negative income of -$4,769.  Jose is a ’section eight’ renter, and his rent is only $500 after the $500 subsidy.  This cuts his income by $6,000 a year, leaving him $25,200, while Joe, in negative territory, has his wife and teen age son work to keep the family afloat.  Jose is doing just fine with his $25,200.  Jose and Joe both have kids in the same school, but Jose’s kids get free lunches, and Joe’s kids have to pay.  Jose’s illegal kids have “English Second Language” (ESL) courses at taxpayer expense.  The police and fire departments care for both Joe and Jose and their families, only Joe’s taxes pay for both of their protections.  (Thanks to “M” and “B”)

It seems to this scribe and writer of bi-weekly drivel, that any politician who thinks we need illegals, is not deserving of anyone’s vote. Another 627,000 jobs lost last week.  Unfortunately, liberals seem to get the votes from liberals and other un-thinking dummies.  “We have to be human,” or other such garbage.   Can there be any solution, other than a mass revolt by American taxpayers, who just might have had enough if this?  Since we now have Obama in the White House, who is worshipped by his Democrats, and Republicans who have lost their way, is there any reason not to believe that dollars will continue to self-destruct?  Is there any reason not to believe that the big cities may be centers of riots and violence eventually?  Is there any reason then, not to get out of big cities, and to protect ones self?
