That seems to be the question today. Outside of Representative Kilroy’s office in Ohio, a loud-mouth negro screamed that “I has a rights to health care.” Does she? I think not. Does she have a “right” to dental care?” Does she have a “right” to a good night’s sleep? Does she have a “right” to food? Does she have a “right” to a job? Does she have a “right” to a TV? Radio? Car? Gasoline? Eye glasses? Books? A house? A cell phone? Electricity? Water? A vacation? Welfare? Schooling? Income? Highways? A car? Furniture? Child care?
The point of the above is that, according to our Constitution, the citizenry has no “right” to any of these. The fact that some of them have been given to citizens at taxpayer expense over the past hundred years, doesn’t change the basic fact that such should have never been given to them, and the results are plain to see.
Public schools have made America un-educated compared to when there were no “public” schools. America was extremely literate when schooling was left to responsible parents. This an absolute fact. Public schools got so bad, that the Feds got involved with the Department of Education, and they have since gotten even worse.
Highways? You pay for them with every gallon of fuel you buy.
Health care was compromised when Medicare was passed in 1965. It never should have passed, because that was the first step towards total nationalized health care, a-la Canada and Britain, which most do not want. Once Medicare was passed, it will be difficult not to go the full way, which is what the Democrats are trying to do now. It’s too late to get rid of Medicare, because so many depend on it.
It’s too late to get rid of public schools, even though they are a costly failure, because so many depend on them. Caring parents today, are home schooling, assuming both parents don’t have to work to stay alive, thanks to debased dollars. (See Tuesday’s column).
Will some liberals will eventually shout that dental care is a “right?” They now say health care is a “right,” so why not dental care? Why not make jobs, a car, and utilities, “rights?” Why not just go to Russia, and copy them piecemeal?
See what gradual socialization of America, thanks to un-thinking Republicans and Democrats has gotten us? We’ve gotten to where Alexander Hamilton and Abraham Lincoln wanted us to be, and that is with a large, confiscatory, central government.
Last night, I went to the Republican caucus, and even though I hate the caucus system, and liberal Republicans, which we have few of here. It was really nice to salute and flag, pray for God’s blessing, and sing God Bless America with a thousand other mostly like minded citizens. My question is still, why do Republicans so love Abraham Lincoln? I urge you, as I have in the past, to buy a book. This time, it’s titled “The Real Lincoln,” by that excellent writer, Thomas Dilorenzo. Please! Get that paperback book and absorb it.
As the health care thing goes down to the line, Obama has pulled out all the stops to get his way, including ferrying Dennis Kucinich home to Cleveland on Air Force One, (He caved in), and having each questionable Democrat into the Oval Office, for a persuasive lecture. The pressure is unbelievable from the White House and Pelosi. Obama is giving lots of speeches to filtered crowds, where he lies through his teeth about the so-called ’benefits’ of the health atrocity. In an interview with Bret Baeir yesterday on Fox News, Obama couldn’t answer questions, didn’t even know the bill’s contents, and gave long, non-sensical answers to pertinent questions. This morning, the liberal media twisted the interview, by reporting that Bret Baeir ’kept interrupting the president.’ If a Democrat votes “NO” as they all should, they will be ostracized by their fellow Democrats. If they vote “yes,” they will undoubtedly lose in November. If it ’passes’ with a non “yes” or “no” vote, it will surely be thrown out by the Supreme Court. The last minute pressure is unbelievable, and Rush has the phones nicely tied up. We’re trying!
What we are witnessing, is the result of 77 years of handouts, subsidization, and vote getting laws, which have violated the Constitution and its intent, by twisting the “general welfare” phrase of that sacred document. It was violated and twisted, merely for vote buying, and it has given us, like Europe, an ever growing class of useless, non working, stupid, violent, worthless, scum, who have destroyed our once grand cities and economy. Our debts are unpayable, other than with decayed, printing press scrip, and they grow larger with each day. The purchasers of our debt, other than U.S. citizens, have become uneasy about purchasing more, and are gradually getting rid of what they have already purchased. U.S. citizens, who continually buy T-Bills and Treasury Notes, will be stuck with dollars which will purchase less and less, till they will purchase virtually nothing, probably.
Whether the health care thing passes or doesn’t pass, the chances of The United States of America surviving another hundred years, are slim at best. The Tea Party folks have the right idea, but have they read, and do they know economics? Do they realize what an uphill fight it will be to save America? Will we oust Democrats and liberal Republicans in November? Is Nancy Pelosi’s constituency in San Francisco, so blatantly socialistic-communistic, that her seat is assured? It seems pretty certain that Harry Reid will go, but I hear that the Tea Party people are starting their own party rather than working through the Republicans, and that could save Reid’s seat. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Can America really be saved by the growing Tea Party movement, if it works through the Republican Party? We can hope so, but in the mean time, get OUT of dollars, and save in gold and silver.
P.S. I used the expression “pulled out all the stops.” Know where that came from? On ’straight’ or church and concert pipe organs, various ranks are turned on by pulling a out draw knob for each rank or set of pipes. Large organs have a hundred or more draw knobs or sets of pipes. When the draw knobs are pushed in, the ranks of pipes stop playing. When all the ’stops’ are pulled out, all of the ranks are playing, and it is at full volume. Hence, when someone gives something all of his effort, he has “pulled out all the stops.”
