So don’t complain. Take Gaza, as an example. Jews controlled Gaza for 27 years, and in order to pacify their enemies, they relinquished control of it. The Gaza residents right away voted in Hamas, and then the rockets started to be fired at Israel…who gave them the land. Hundreds and thousands of them. Israel got sick and tired of it, so they invaded Gaza, probably doing far more damage than they should have, but it is understandable that they would finally invade, after suffering from myriad rocket attacks. Now, the Gaza people are starving? If so, it’s because THEY VOTED FOR THEIR SUFFERING. Now, Israel is checking out the humanitarian ships that are trying to subsidize Gaza, when the people of Gaza voted for their own suffering! And the blame seems to be on Israel, who gave it away, to pacify its enemies?
In America, we are stuck with Obama, who has no birth certificate to prove that he is even legally a President. We know nothing about him!!! Absolutely nothing about his Social Security number, college writings, grades, or which passports he was using during his travels. Was his lawyer’s license revoked? Was his wife’s license revoked? Is he a Muslim? Is he just an extreme socialist? He has had a lot of questionable friends, and was a member of a church for 20 years, and was married in that church, but now he seems to have let that one slide, after his pastor, Jeremiah Wright says “God damn America,” and a few other choice phrases. AMERICA VOTED FOR HIM! Now America is having second thoughts for the most part. America got what it VOTED for, and has to live with its indiscretion.
Then the Democrats have the case of Arvin Green, a mouth breathing, unemployed, dumb as a cluck, black guy, who is being charged now with a morals problem. He gave over $10,000 to get on the South Carolina Democratic primary. He never campaigned, never advertised, and never gave a speech. The Democratic morons gave him an overwhelming victory over a well known Demo, who campaigned vigorously. They VOTED for him, and he will remain on the ballot.
Japan VOTED for a leader that led it down the primrose path to total bankruptcy, and just recently, elected someone who might try to solve the problems created in the previous decades. They VOTED for their own bankruptcy.
England VOTED for Tony, and then Brown, and both proved to be a disaster. Now they changed their minds and voted in someone who may help to mend the wounds. England VOTED OUT Margaret Thatcher, a super conservative, who brought the UK back into sanity and prosperity.
Nevada VOTED for Harry Reid, who now has an 8% approval rating. California VOTED for Barbara Boxer with a 91% liberal voting record. California VOTED for Nancy Pelosi, who has an 11% approval rating. Can we rid ourselves of what wrong voting thrust upon America? I hope so!
Sweden, decades ago, VOTED to turn Sweden into a 100% socialized state, with huge taxes, and everyone supported by government. The results weren’t hard to figure, and Sweden later regurgitated, straightening out the mess, at least a little bit.
Benjamin Franklin once said that, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting for what to have for lunch.” My hero, Aristotle said that, “A democracy is a government in the hands of men of low birth, no property, and vulgar employments.” And that’s the point of the vote in America. Some anonymous person also once said that, “Ten million ignorances do not constitute one knowledge.” To sum it all up: In 1890, T.H. Huxley said about democracy as we know it, “I should be very sorry to find myself on board a ship in which the voices of the cook and loblolly boys counted for as much as those of the officers upon a question of steering, or reefing topsails; or where the “great heart” of the crew was called upon to settle the ship’s course.” In a republic, which is our supposed Constitutional form of government, there is no monarch, and we have a representative form of government, not a democracy. The word “democracy” is not used in our Constitution one time.
Then we get to our two current parties. The Democrats are described by several quotes from various people over time. “The Democratic Party is like a man riding backward on a carriage. It never sees a thing until it has gone by.” “The Democratic Party is like a mule. It has neither pride of ancestry nor hope of posterity.” “That party never had but two objects. Grand and petit larceny.” “A hopeless assortment of discordant differences, as incapable of positive action as it is of infinite clamor.” A newspaper in the Czech Republic said of the current situation: “The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency, than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast conspiracy of fools that made their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is far less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” In other words, American fools VOTED for him.
The Republican Platform of 1908 said, “In history, the difference between Democrats and Republicans is that one stood for debased currency, the other for honest money. One means adversity, and the other means prosperity. One means low wages, and the other means high wages. One means doubt and debt, and the other means confidence and thrift.”
So we now know that, at least in 1908, Republicans stood for great things. The Republicans have drifted far away from their earlier positions. We’ve got to clean house in November. We’ve got to get the RINOS (Republicans in name only) out, and support the Republican Tea Party candidates. How to do that? By contributing to their campaigns, that’s how. A $25 gift to the guy who you know needs to win, won’t hurt you, and it may allow him to win. Please do it!
Then, after the good guys get in office, maybe voter qualifications should change. It will never happen, but think about it. Would there be as many bad accidents and horrible drivers, if there were no automatic transmissions, power steering, and power brakes? No. Would there be as many bad votes for the wrong people, if, in order to vote, one had to prove that he or she owned property? Is that really a radical qualification? If only property owners could vote, mortgaged or not, the quality of vote would be unbelievably elevated. Does one suppose that drug crazed hippies, owning nothing, voted for Pelosi and Boxer? I’m certain they did.
If that sounds too radical, and I don’t think it is, how about being able to vote only if you could prove that you had a job? That would eliminate the public housing dwellers, graffiti ’artists,’ welfare recipients, and the trash underclass, who will always VOTE democratic, because that’s where their freebies come from in 98% of the cases. Any elected Congress person or Senator who voted for TARP and subsequent bailouts, must be defeated, and this includes John McCain.
Is voting a duty? Some say it should be compulsory. I consider it not a duty, but an honor. If it became compulsory, we’d really have a mob in D.C. It’s the Democrats who would like to make it compulsory. The misguided college kids who have been brainwashed by their liberal professors, love to invade the slums and sign up voters for the next Democrat, as if this is a patriotic thing to do. In reality, they are merely hammering nails in America’s coffin.
