Internet Censorship?

The internet is perhaps the main enemy of the socialists, Marxists, One Worlders, and Democrats. The internet has made possible an unprecedented, free flow of information, both true and false, which the world has ever known. (Al Gore didn’t invent it). The internet is cheap, accessible, and has no red tape or bureaucratic editing and interference.  It is the First Amendment writ large.  The internet has ruined newspapers and the postal service, which can’t be helped, as it is the onward march of technology, which cannot be slowed or stopped.  When the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin went, we all mourned, because we were left with the wretched, liberal, Philadelphia Inquirer, nicknamed the “Inkie.”  That was before the internet. Now, with the internet, the Inquirer is bankrupt, as are most big city newspapers, it seems.  My local paper is in big trouble as are small town papers everywhere.  The Silverton Standard, in Silverton, Colorado, which for years I have called the “Sub Standard,” is on its last days also.  Who cares?  I do, but there is no way to stop the inevitable, any more than there is a way to stop the decline of all paper monies, and the increase in the dollar price of precious metals and all consumer goods.  Cucumbers and trees can be grown, but there is a finite amount of gold and silver in the world, and eventually that fact will cause gold and silver to go far higher than prices of other tangibles.

There is nothing that Democrats and their ilk would rather do, than shut down the internet.  The internet has given birth to the Tea Parties, and a wide range of internet columns, such as this one.  Some are full of exaggerations, such as Alex Jones, and some are full of outright lies.  The left has its web sites, but they are rarely visited.  It is the right wing, conservative, web sites, which are visited by the millions daily, forwarded and passed around by the millions, and it galls the lefties to no end.

Under Bill Clinton, the Democrat’s CDA was signed into law.  CDA stood for the “Communications Decency Act,” which purportedly was going to sift out the pornography on the internet, but in reality, was designed to censor those opposed to the left wing.  On June 27th, 1997, the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the CDA was unconstitutional.  That took care of the CDA threat.  Then there is the Wikileaks web site, which showed the wanton killing of innocents by the US Air Force in Afghanistan.  That web site is up and running again, after it was attempted to be squashed by the powers that be.

Midst the threats of the left, a couple of groups were formed to safeguard the internet.  You may wish to visit them, and even help them with their efforts.  They are “Electronic Frontier Foundation” (eff.com), and “Citizens Internet Empowerment Coalition” (ciec.org).

Isn’t it nice that the Founders gave us the Bill of Rights?  Without it, the Constitution would never have been ratified.  During the ratification debate, the Anti-Federalists complained that the proposed Constitution didn’t protect individual rights, and they were going to vote against it. The Federalists agreed to add a series of Amendments, to be called, a “Bill of Rights,” soon after the first Congressional Session adjourned.  Thomas Jefferson said, “A bill of rights, is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth.”  Madison was against it, although he later recanted.  Some members of Congress said that the bill was, “a silly exercise,” because the listed rights belonged to the people, and need not appear in the Constitution.  Fortunately it was ratified, and the first ’right,’ was the first one, which reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Laws censoring the internet to stop pornography?  The CDA was ruled unconstitutional.  Laws prohibiting drugs, prostitution, and the late prohibition, were wildly successful, now aren’t and weren’t they?  Prohibition gave us the underworld, and millions of alcoholics.  More alcohol was drunk under prohibition, than before it was enacted, and prostitution is the world’s oldest profession.  Illegal things seem to have an appeal.  They must be fun to do, like teen males trying to destroy their cars by abusing them, speeding, spinning wheels, etc.  Everyone wanted to drink during prohibition, because it was illegal and fun.

The First Amendment, so far, has protected the internet from the scalawag Democrat liberals, which now are called ’progressives.’  Isn’t that a hoot now?  Like calling homosexual men ’gays.’  What a corruption of the English language.  The liberals would love to shatter the internet, as usual, under the fakery of ’protecting us.’  They want to protect themselves from the glaring beam of truth, as shines daily on the internet.  Poor China and Russia.  Their internets have been censored, and no wonder.  Those creeps would never want any sort of freedom of expression in their lands.

The internet has given the truth to the fact that 9/11 was a total farce and ruse, uncovered the fact that Obama was born in Africa, and is an unconstitutional President, among hundreds of discoveries proclaimed about the land.  The internet is the ultimate fulfillment of the First Amendment.  The failing newspapers depend on advertising to exist, because it costs a lot of money to buy paper, presses, and distribution.  The current rebirth of the conservative-Tea Party movement in America, has caused massive cancellation of subscriptions to left leaning newspapers, such as the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, New Orleans Times Picayune, and New York Times.  Those papers have huge, multi-million dollar plants, which are showing red ink by the quart, while the free internet rolls merrily along, exposing the frauds and would be destroyers of America.  Isn’t it grand!

P.S. BY ALL MEANS DO CELEBRATE AMERICA’S BIRTHDAY ON SUNDAY.  WHAT A MARVELOUS PLACE AMERICA IS.  AMERICA HAS SCENERY AND FREEDOM UNMATCHED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.  LET’S SAVE IT IN NOVEMBER, BY TAKING OUT THE TRASH!
