Frustration

  By David Stott

I spent $10 to get my car washed this morning, and when it was finished, I saw that the bugs on the windshield were still there.  I brought it to the attention of the workers, and they used their dry rags in a vain attempt to remove the remainder of the bugs.  Naturally, it didn’t work.  Dry rags won’t remove dry bugs.  Feeling frustrated, I just left and called the number on the discount coupon, which is given to all customers upon paying.  I spoke to the manager; he made excuses, and said I can bring the car back in for another wash.  Deciding I would rather wash the windows myself, I drove to a national chain restaurant’s drive through, for a quick breakfast.  As I was trying to order, the clerk snapped that she couldn’t understand me through the speaker box.  She was amazingly rude and unhelpful, so I simply backed out of the drive-through, and headed home.

As I was stewing and cursing to myself about how stupid everyone is, it occurred to me that we have only begun to see the results of government sponsored stupification or our once proud, intelligent, nation.  The result is generations of welfare, and continual promotion of the inept, with their self destructive behavior.  We have now reached critical mass.  There are simply more useless, clueless, people today, than there are intelligent, motivated, folk.  In my opinion, once that happened, we became doomed to a slow, sad, decline, into mediocrity.

As long as the useless are procreating at a rate that is twice what the useful are, we are toast!  It’s that simple.  In the pre-welfare United States, reckless, stupid behavior, was never encouraged or even tolerated; but it now, in our kinder, gentler, progressive, society, it seems to be welcomed!  There are endless government programs to support these poor folks, while they destroys initiative, and the value of the dollar.  Unbelievable, but true.

Unless our so-called ’leaders,’ immediately start making decisions which will NOT get them re-elected, we are never going to turn this around, and it’s really that simple.  As a nation, we need to wean ourselves off of every money redistribution scheme, remove all the ridiculous bureaucrats, with their massive regulations, which are destroying our productivity, and fire most politicians who are serving in public office.

Would that be totally impossible, giving that so much of our populace is now dependent on government?  The answer to that question, is unfortunately, undoubtedly, ’yes.’  We do have to try though, don’t we?  That effort has given birth to the Tea Parties.  God bless them!
