Stop! It Doesn’t Work!

I was listening to an NPR report from some official in Maryland, who was listing the various military and government installations located in her state.  Dozens of them!  She was afraid that the money for them, which she thought benefitted her state, may be cut with the 85 new members of the House, soon to be sworn in, and take their seats.

I’ve got news for you gentle lady from Maryland.  None of these government and military headquarters, installations, and employers of thousands of people, benefit your state, or any state.  Why?  Because they make payroll, not with profits, but from taxpayers.  All the bucks from governments which pay employees, buy office machines, papers, ink, computers, and other paraphernalia, HARM AMERICA. How could all those jobs hurt America?  Easy.  These jobs and all that goes with them, are bankrupting America, by operating with printing press money, created out of thin air.  Profit is the key to capitalism, which made America great, and government is the antithesis of capitalism.  Antithetical government, debases everyone’s money, enlarges itself continuously, and causes an increase in bureaucracy, which harasses us to death.  Military establishments, not only do the preceding, but cause needless deaths around the world, and ruins America’s reputation, wherever the military exists.

Throughout all of recorded history, the exact same thing has happened, and is happening, ruining civilizations and nations.  Look at Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and of course America.  Consider the Greek and Roman Empires, and see a duplication of today.  Governments are always going to ’help the poor,’ ’fix what’s wrong,’ ’make people act correctly,’ ’stamp out the bad guys,’ ’equalize,’ or you name it.  All with tax monies, of which there is never enough to do the job.  No government has ever been able to stop itself from self-destructing, and taking its subjects with it, with hyper-inflation, throttling regulations, and choking business and profit making institutions.

No government can do anything, without having the exact reverse effects on another part of its subjects.  Help the poor?  It harms the wealthy, who provide jobs to the poor.  Regulate everything to death?  It stops dead, the businesses and people who make everything work.  Over tax people?  They then won’t, or can’t do, what they do to pay the taxes.  Fight worthless wars overseas, and tell people they are protecting them? How is that true?  How are 27,000 troops in Korea, tens of thousands here and there, or a hundred thousand in Afghanistan, doing anything, but running up the debt, and wasting trillions of dollars?  WHY ARE WE IN AFGHANISTAN?  I have yet to hear an answer to that question, from anyone in Congress.

’Stimulus’ packages, haven’t helped businesses or the poor.  ’Cash for Clunkers’ harmed the auto industry, mired participants in ex-expected taxes, destroyed operable cars, plus has run up the debt billions of dollars.  Washington D.C. and surrounding counties and towns, are the richest in the nation, and it’s all from dealing with, and working for, ever growing government, which pays exorbitant wages.  An almost carbon copy of collapsed empires throughout history.  In the 1700’s, Britain got so bureaucracy heavy, and raised taxes so much to cover it, that America revolted, and Mother England lost America.  The King taxed everything, as does America today.  Is the Tea Party a second revolt, duplicating ours against the Brits 200 years ago?  The name’s the same!  Government, other than protecting its citizens, does nothing but harm them.  Government defeats the market. The market allows those with talent, brains, or luck, to advance, and those who lack them to decline, which is the way nature has decreed it should be.  If government ruled the animal kingdom, they would have all become extinct ages ago.  Messing with the natural order of things, causes great imbalances, and the more interference there is, the worse off everyone will become.  As the Bible says, “The poor will always be with you:” (John 12:8), and when government attempts to defeat the natural order of things. as governments always attempt to do, the result is always the same.  So I say: STOP!  IT DOESN’T WORK!

P.S. The gold-silver ratio has come down from 77 to 1 a couple of years ago, to 47 to 1, meaning that silver has gone up 39% further than gold.  Will this continue till the ratio is once again 16 to 1?  We think so.  If the ratio today, were 16 to 1, silver would be $87 an ounce.
