To watch the London riots on TV, was shocking to me. The “bobbies” (London police) had no guns! They had little round shields, and a few dogs against hundreds and maybe even thousands of mostly black rioters, who succeeded in burning an entire neighborhood over a three day period. They were breaking into homes, and the householders were attempting to defend themselves with pots and pans! Other cities in the UK, such as Liverpool and Manchester, suffered the same shameful performance of both the rioters and their would be tamers with no guns.
The silly Brits confiscated all guns a few years ago, and even the bobbies are not allowed to carry one. The result? Crime has escalated to horrendous proportions. If you are caught carrying a pocket knife in Britain, you may spend a year in jail, so absurd have those socialists become. If the police were armed, does one think that entire neighborhoods would have burned? If homeowners had guns to protect themselves, is it possible that trying to defend themselves with pots and pans would have been necessary?
During the Los Angeles riots by blacks a few years ago, when the Rodney King jury found the police innocent, business owners by the hundreds defended their shops and stores with loaded guns. The many fires went uncontrolled, because their owners were not present or had no guns. I can still remember Koreans, armed to the teeth, standing guard over their Los Angeles businesses. When I lived in Filthydelphia, the blacks hated the Koreans who would go into the neighborhoods they had destroyed, rebuild them and begin business which thrived. The same thing was true during the Los Angeles riots.
While the media don’t publicize it, hundreds of times a day in America, crimes are prevented by gun carrying or owning citizens pointing them, or hopefully shooting to kill…criminals. ALWAYS SHOOT TO KILL! It saves a lot of court time and jail expenses. The 200 plus million guns in the hands of Americans, are what makes criminals very uneasy, and their profession risky. Politicians and government also, whether they will admit it or not, know very well, that if they step too far over the line, which they are often wont to do, that patriotic citizens may solve the problem themselves. Patriotic citizens, several times have met on the D.C. mall and threatened politicos, and left the place spotless. Liberals, blacks, and their ilk have also met on the mall, and left it a shambles with tons of trash littering the place. Gee! I wonder if that explains the dozens of ruined, abandoned neighborhoods in major cities? The fact that there have been riots in major American cities, such as the ones when Martin Luther King was shot, means that conservatives, if possible, should leave the major cities for their own protection. Those riots destroyed the entire shopping area in Washington D.C. where I grew up. It can happen again.
Hundreds of thousands are leaving California, New York, and high tax or politically unstable places, to protect themselves in case of future riots, unbearable taxes, or crime waves impossible to stop. If the budget is to be balanced, lots of freebies will have to be stopped, and this will surely cause enormous, property and life destructing riots on a massive scale. No insurance can cover damage done by rioters, nor can it bring back to life those who lost theirs by being present at the time.
A gun is a means of defending ones self from a distance, without any physical confrontation, and that’s the beauty of them. Pepper spray, fistfights, and baseball bats may work for some, but a gun at a hundred feet, is by far the best way to protect ones self. Everyone should own a few, preferably un-registered. Why un-registered? Because registering a gun is an invitation for the liberals and Democrats or others, to eventually declare them unlawful and come knocking on your door to seize them. They’re trying to to it as I write this, but it would never get through the Tea Party controlled House of Representatives.
And speaking of the Tea Party, be sure to watch the Iowa debates tonight on Fox. The Democrats are calling the degrading of America’s credit, the “Tea Party’s fault,” which is about as dumb a statement as has ever been uttered by a brain dead politician. It is the Tea Party, which came into existence about a month after Obama took office, and because he did take office, which has done its level best to preserve America and to publicize the huge debts that the Obama team has created. Obama is the cause of the Tea Party, and the Tea Party will get rid of him and take over the Senate at the next election, and you can take that to the bank.
P.S. Why is gold outperforming silver? Because the world is becoming more and more worried about the unbacked, paper currencies, and are looking for safety (The stupid ones are buying ten year T bills at 2.08% interest). People regard gold as ’safety’ rather than silver, so the ratio has gone from 39 to 1 to 46 to 1. I still believe that silver is the best bet if you have space to store it. If the historic 16 to 1 ratio was obtained now, we would have $110 silver. Protect yourself…physically as well as economically.
