There are certain things that one does without even thinking…luckily! Take breathing, as an example. If you had to concentrate on, and be aware of and command every breath you take, it would wear you out in a day probably, if you didn’t die from asphyxiation at night. Some things we do without even thinking, and that’s the way life is. We do these things automatically, without even considering the consequences or effort required. Walking, talking, breathing, thinking, looking, and the list is endless. Our bodies are marvelous. Most of the things we do, were learned in infancy and childhood. Children can learn languages easily, and if parents speak a couple of languages, it is to me, criminal not to raise the children bi-lingual. They learn so easily! Children learn not to need diapers, usually by age two, and that function becomes automatic.
Even dogs can learn to do things automatically, such as not to poop and pee in the house, and to defend the owner’s property, which is a great thing dogs can learn. There are countless examples of dogs saving a child’s life by pulling him away from a car, defending or rescuing from drowning. Dogs, and I love them, are also marvelous creatures! Cats? Maybe, but I am a dog man.
We learn to type, act, play music, drive, and use good grammar and table manners, automatically, after we train ourselves to do them. Public speakers learn to modulate their speech without even thinking about it, if they are to be good speakers. As a past president of a Toastmasters Club, I define modulation, as variations in pitch, pace, and power. Preachers need to learn those traits and use them automatically, if they are to please their flocks.
The one thing we learn from childhood is money. Money buys things, we work for money, our wages or salaries are paid in money, thieves steal money, and we have to protect our money by keeping it in a safe place. George Bernard Shaw, not my favorite author, once said that, “Money is indeed the most important thing in the world; and all sound and successful personal and national morality should have this fact for its basis.” How about, “God made bees, and bees make honey. God made man, and man makes money?” No one knows who said that, but money really is all important. As another anonymous proverb states, “Money gives a man thirty years more of dignity.”
Even though the money of all nations has been corrupted, printed to virtual worthlessness, and backed by nothing, we still use the term ’money’ for the currencies of all nations. The fact is, the only real money around, anywhere, is gold and silver. The rest are there, because of legal tender laws. Just like keeping our fake money safe, we also keep our real gold and silver money safe also. However, keeping dollar bills safe in a bank is easy and natural. Something we have always done automatically. How safe is the paper money? Physically, if it is in a bank, it is safe, but NOT ITS VALUE. No matter where you store your paper money, even if it is safe from theft, it is not save from devaluation. There is nothing you can do to keep it from devaluing either; absolutely nothing. No matter how safe it is and no matter where you store it, even in a CD, it is still devaluing faster than any interest being paid on it.
That’s why you need to get out of it, and especially since the COMEX has managed to make dollar prices of real money go down. Don’t worry! Like all tangibles, gold and silver prices will go up in dollars…unless you think that milk, cheese, gasoline, lumber, books, tires, or utilities will go down, that is.
