There are literally hundreds of things which dumb governments and dumb presidents have foisted off to the American public. Same first sentence as the last column, and it’s true. There have been a slew of hideously bad Presidents, and FDR heads the list. Why Franklin Delano Roosevelt? Because under his Presidency, and voted upon by his cooperative Democrat Congress, he and they took away responsibility from America. What responsibility? Responsibility to pay your own rent, save for retirement, and care for yourself and your family. Think about it.
Under FDR, the welfare system began. Under FDR, public housing got started. Under FDR, Social Security got started. What FDR started, has gotten huge, with tens of thousands of government employees administering programs which constantly get larger and larger and more encompassing, thereby further ruining the responsibility of the American. Currently, there is a terrific hubbub about whether Obamacare is Constitutional, forcing people to buy insurance. Well, how about forcing Americans to save in a true Ponzi scheme, which is Social Security? Is this Constitutional? Is it Constitutional to steal from workers and give to non-workers? Is it Constitutional to steal from the “haves and give to the ’have nots who need it so much,” As LBJ so eloquently put it? As Jesus said in Matthew, “The poor will always be with us.”
As I have written before, before Medicare and Medicaid, there was virtually no such thing as a nursing home. Nursing homes, which prolong the life of those who should have mercifully died, but keep them alive as human vegetables, came into existence when government started paying for ridiculously extending human life beyond normal or kindness. How many of us, in our wills, forbid our descendents from placing us in a nursing home or prolonging our life in a vegetative state? Mine reads this way.
Is it smart to subsidize the lazy, untalented, worthless bums, and scalp those who work for their dollars? What you subsidize, you get more of, and what you tax, you get less of, which is what Obama is currently attempting to do, so they will ’pay their fair share,’ which is a bunch of B.S. to put it mildly. 47% of Americans pay no tax at all, incidentally, thanks to Ronnie Reagan, in his 1986 tax bill. nbsp;In that tax bill, corporate taxes were raised high, which started the flow of jobs across the Pacific and south to Mexico. Yes, Ronnie Reagan did just that. Democrats and Republicans alike, love to enlarge government to gain votes, and now, thanks to George Bush, even prescriptions will be paid by Uncle Sam. How gross!
The current flash crowds all around the world, protesting Wall Street, the banks, or whatever; mostly have no idea of what they are protesting, or what to do about it. If they are camping in parks, they aren’t working. Why don’t they get a job? “Oh I wouldn’t do menial work, because I have a college degree,” some may say. As far as I am concerned, they are the result of dumb government, which is undoubtedly paying them not to work. Can’t you now be out of work for 99 weeks and still get a check from dumb government?
The welfare system, public housing, and all handouts have destroyed America’s former ability to care for itself, plan for its old age, and pay for what it gets. “If we didn’t help those poor people, they may die,” might be the silly phrase of liberal do-gooders. I say, let them die if they can’t or won’t care for themselves. The animal kingdom stays healthy by letting the old, feeble stupid, or lazy, die, so that the strong my survive and multiply. Why do you think females in the animal and even human race are particular as to whom they mate with? Because they want handsome, smart, offspring. It’s natures’ way for the best of any race to mate with the best. Everyone does the best they can. Women get the best men they can, and men get the best women they can. The race is strengthened this way. By subsidizing the inept and poor quality, the race is hopelessly degenerated, and they are camping in parks around the world as I write this.
This dumb action by government and its Presidents and Congress began with FDR, and both Republicans and Democrats have helped it along and made it larger with every year that has passed since then, with corresponding tax increases to pay for it. Only now, the expense of the welfare state has far outgrown the tax collections, and the deficits are huge, which is threatening the entire economic system of America and the world, which has copied America…unfortunately. We now have the underclass, lenient judges, corrupt Congress, and slums everywhere. Thanks to dumb government.
