Dumb Government – part five

This “Dumb Government” series could go on till Armageddon, with nary a duplication, I am certain.  Some wag sent me this, which I think is hilarious, but it can’t found in the dictionary.

“INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – A system of government where the least capable to lead, are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.”

There you have it! The great unwashed who call themselves “Occupy Wall Street” are in the wrong places throughout the world.  They should be at the various legislatures and capitols.  A casual glance of them, and listening to a few utterances by them, makes it obvious that they are of minimal intelligence. It’s not Wall Street, but dumb government which is to blame.

Our Constitution does not give government permission to do about 95% of what it is doing, which makes it not only ’dumb,’ but it has destroyed what it was supposed to protect, and that is the greatest nation which ever existed on God’s Green Earth.  The occupiers are demanding more government, more handouts, and more regulations, which is what got us here in the first place.  The Tea Party wants less government, less spending, and more freedom, which is exactly the opposite of the occupiers.  Those who, in their shabby, unkempt, ’occupying’ around the world, all want the same thing; more and more dumb government, which is responsible for the housing crash, Greek, Irish, Portugal, Spain, and Italy going down the tubes because of so much government, so many handouts, so many unions, and so much fiscal irresponsibility, and so much debt, that it is all, literally, threatening the entire world’s economies, or what’s left of them.

The entire European Union world lives and dies with un-backed euros, and even though they are un-backed by gold and silver, still are entered in their various ledgers as actual values in euros.  The dollar, as the world’s ’reserve currency,’ is solely an American currency, whereas the euro is the currency of 17 nations. As the some of the17 governments allowed unions to get the best of them, and voted ever more handouts and subsidies, all entered on their ledgers, it got to the point where it wouldn’t work.  The foolish nations using the euro, then asked the smart nations, also using the euro, to bail them out, and this morning, they bailed them out again, everyone taking a 50% cut on their Greek bonds.  But it doesn’t stop there.  Banks all around the world, including American banks, foolishly bought the bonds of the foolish nations, and now these bonds instantly have become worth half of what they were supposed to be worth yesterday. This places Bank of America and French banks in trouble, just to name a couple.

Gold is going up, because smart people in the world are beginning to see the utter folly of saving in, or depending on un-backed paper money.  The ratio of silver to gold has risen a few points, meaning that silver went down further than gold, because the world considers gold as ’safety,’ whereas most consider silver as a partly industrial metal.  I really think that gold may do better than silver for the next year or so, simply because gold is considered ’safety,’ and silver isn’t.  Long term, silver is best of course.

I am deeply worried about what is happening here and around the world.  The possible chain reaction of not bailing out the foolish nations, possible demise of the euro taking down banks everywhere who invested their clients money in European bonds, is scary.

Makes me glad I am in America, with the probability of getting control of the White House and Senate before any more damage can be done.  Unfortunately, both Republicans as well as Democrats have all done their share of voting for more and more dumb government, doing what it ought not do, and getting involved in what it ought not to get involved.  Ron Paul is the only candidate who gives all the right answers in the debates.  He could win if his message can reach thinking voters, and the dummies stay home.  I’ve sent him $200 so far.  You should help him too!

From the Gladstone Kibosh of November 29, 1902: “A great many families on lower Snake Avenue are complaining of some person borrowing household articles from them during their absence from home.  This practice should cease, and when you want a stove, piano, or washtub, ask for them.  We do not want to cast any reflections on anybody, but the tracks leading away from the McDuff residence last Wednesday, when they missed their dining room table, just fits the boots worn by the new bartender at the Angel of Mercy Saloon, who only yesterday, refused us credit.  We have no sympathy to any hireling who is so measly as to refuse an honest editor a few drops of life-giving elixir.”
