We lowered our rates for shipping, insurance, and commission, a year or two ago, and now we are lowering them again. We have persuaded our supplier to drop the $50 “Small order Charge,” and it no longer exists. We have also reduced our under $25,000 purchase rate from 1.5% to 1.25%.
To accommodate our supplier, we have agreed that we will take no gold order of less than seven ounces, and no silver order of less than 200 ounces. That’s a small payment to them for eliminating the $50 small order charge, which has been a source of irritation ever since it was instigated. If these new minimums are an inconvenience to you, or placed you out of your price range, we are sorry. Maybe you can split an order with a neighbor or relative, but the new minimums are firm. You can sell any amount you want, without an small order charge.
To illustrate the savings, assume a seven ounce gold purchase, and the item is $1600 per ounce. Before today, that order would have cost you $11,418.75, delivered by registered, insured mail. Beginning today, that same order will cost you $11,340, or a savings of $78.75, or $11.25 per ounce. If you were in the habit of ordering ten ounces of gold before, to avoid the small order charge, it would have cost you $16,240, and beginning today, it will cost you $16,200, or a savings of $40, or $4 per ounce.
A 200 ounce Silver Round order, assuming Rounds are $29, before would have cost you $5937.75, and now will cost you $5872.50, or a savings of $65.25, or thirty three cents per coin. A Mint Box of Silver Eagles, (500), assuming they are $30.50, before would have cost you $15,478.75, and now would cost $15,440.63, or a savings of $38.12, or eight cents per coin.
We usually now can sell less than 500 ounces of Silver Eagles or Silver Maple Leafs, assuming our supplier has loose ones in stock.
