France copies Obama

France and Greece have copied Obama, almost exactly, thanks to disgruntled voters who don’t like austerity.  In France, they elected Hollande as president who promised to start spending, tax the rich at 75%, and do exactly as Obama has done and continues to try to do.  Debts?  Who cares?  Balance the budget and cut spending?  Of course not.  Hollande intends to hire thousands of government employees, and insert more euros into France’s economy,  His enemies he says, are the economists and conservatives, who keep saying that governments should not spend more than they take in.  Like Obama, Hollende says he will ’balance the budget in five years.’  Whoopee! All the laws of economics are null and void.  Governments can spend and spend and spend, create huge deficits, and there are no consequences.  We have reached nirvana.

Voters in any nation aren’t too bright, and that goes without question.  Here’s the socialist Hollande, telling the dumb voters that they are tired of this austerity nonsense, and we need to spend and hire more bureaucrats (a-la Obama) to get us to prosperity.  Obama doesn’t call himself a ’socialist,’ even though he is one without doubt.  France will go deeper into debt, and interest charges will mount as the size of government increases, and the freedoms of its citizens diminish…just like here under Obama.  And the liberal media, now say he’ll be just fine, as in America’s case.  It’s a small world, isn’t it?

One difference, is that there are 17 other nations under the wing of the euro, and when one nation does what Hollande is going to do, this diminishes the value of all euros, and not just in France.  America’s doing it, isn’t as deadly as when France does it, because we have our own currency and don’t share it with other nations, and even though other nations have adopted the name “dollar,” their dollars aren’t linked to ours.  Small blessing?  Our deficit has grown $5 TRILLION since Obama took office, and still the gals seem to like him, plus the blacks and Hispanics, and that’s because as the classic line in My Fair Lady goes, “Why isn’t thinking never even tried?  Straightening up their hair is all they ever do.  Why don’t the straighten up the mess that’s inside?”

Smart, thinking people of all ages, would never vote for a socialist, be it under the name of Hollande or Obama, although Obama did capture the non-thinking college kids’ votes, which he seems to have lost as of now.  A politician can always slant his speeches and votes which lean towards the easy way out, even if it isn’t a way out, but a way of getting in deeper. See, most people think that welfare and government handouts are mana from heaven, and even though they are created out  of thin air, with no harm, the harm is that the handouts and welfare checks are indeed recorded on the books, and must be repaid.  Repay with devalued dollars, thanks to endless printing?  Sure, but this means a huge tax on everyone, and making it foolish to save in dollars.  Nothing accomplished, other than possible revolution

Then there is Greece, which, thanks to huge government spending over a couple of decades has made its debts all but impossible to repay, thereby weakening the euro, as France’s new government will do.  Greece just elected a couple of politicos who promised that this economy and austerity stuff has to go, and Italy’s election will probably be as France’s and Greece’s, but I’ll guarantee you that governments who have huge debts, will elect politicians who promise to ignore them.

Japan has huge debts and most of it can easily become radioactive, if it isn’t already.  They have the yen, which is theirs like America’s dollar, so they can go on for a while.  China, has built numerous cities which were supposed to hold a million each, complete with shopping malls, high rises, and everything a big city should have, and they are empty!  Google “China’s empty cities” if you want to see a shocker.  Is China’s communistic government efficient or smart?  Hardly!  Could all the wasted money on huge empty cities, bring China’s economy down?  Does China have even the slightest concept of economics?  You tell me after Googling the empty cities.

Is the whole world nuts, or is it just me?  Individuals can’t live beyond their means, or they go bankrupt.  Why is it that governments everywhere actually believe they can?  And without the ultimate consequences?
