Did you ever get so angry, that you wanted to shoot someone or do something really drastic? Well, I’m that way now about Afghanistan. I’ve written about this before, and my opinion is still the same. WHAT IN HELL ARE WE DOING THERE? There’s no oil, no seaport, and nothing but a bunch of Muslims, whose doctrine says that if you kill a white devil, you’ll get lots of virgins, and paradise. Well, THEY’RE DOING IT. Over 30, mostly Americans, have been shot in the back by those who they were supposedly training to be good police and make the place a civilized, law abiding place in which to live. Another one Sunday. Why would a soldier stay there, and risk being shot in the back by those he is trying to help? Why would the idiotic politicians send us there in the first place?
I never voted for George Bush the second time, because he had become a total disaster, getting us into Iraq and Afghanistan. WITHOUT A CONSTITUTIONAL DECLARATION OF WAR. Both wars are and were unconstitutional, and don’t think for a minute that Iraq is pacified. The Sunnis are trying to kill the Shiites as fast as they can, and they’re BOTH Muslims! Neither Iraq, nor Afghanistan are threats to Israel. WHY ARE WE THERE???
Why have we spent over a TRILLION dollars there? Even the Ruskies gave it up. Before we got to Afghanistan, there were no poppies (opium, heroin, etc) grown. Now it is a major export! Everything about Afghanistan is pointless trouble, and awfully expensive. Why do Americans sign up and go there in the first place? In my church, a couple of wonderful young men are either there or are scheduled to go. WHY? Free college? Pretty big price to pay I think. They’re a bunch of un-civilized, violent, Muslims, whose holy book says they should shoot us or kill us, and we spend money and lives ’teaching’ them to be law abiding, and civilized? Suppose we began pulling out tomorrow? What would happen, other than 95% of the Afghans would be glad. We invaded them, remember? The other 5%? Who cares? Leave all the equipment there, but take the weapons and ammo. Just GET OUT NOW!
Afghanistan had NOTHING to do with 9/11, and don’t let politicos tell you otherwise when you tell them you want us out NOW. No they have launched rockets and injured a couple of maintenance men and damaged the plane used by American officials, and ambassador. Last week, in Pakistan, (not our friend and close ally of Afghanistan), a retarded daughter of Christian parents was burning some scraps of paper, and without her knowledge a couple pages of a discarded Quran were included. Muslims sentenced her to death, and have burned Christian homes. Who need it?
Suppose, all the many thousands of readers of my stuff printed this column and sent it to their Congressman and Senators? I am doing it now. It’s worth a bit of ink and paper plus a $1.35 worth of stamps! Can’t we get the Congress to realize how stupid, pointless, and expensive this has become? Was there ever a more absurd place for American troops to be???? Was there ever a bigger waste of money than Afghanistan? Civilize that place? Not in a thousand years. Print this, and send it to your Congressman and Senators. For goodness sakes, let’s start a movement to GET OUT NOW!
Romney, in New Hampshire yesterday, said that he doesn’t want Afghanistan to go back to the Taliban, and waffled about his opinion on Afghanistan. Who cares what happens to that desolate place? Why can’t he say, “We should get out now”? That would win him millions of votes.
I started writing columns years ago for Gold Eagle, and with their silly restrictions, they refused to print a column I submitted, even though more read my columns than anyone else’s. They lost a lot of good writers. So, I began writing on my own website, and have gotten away from economics, and now have been far too political I am sure. I think I’ll go back to non-political stuff, because with my Libertarian views, I am certainly not main-stream Republican, about which I don’t care. ’Main-stream’ Republicans, such as George Bush got us here. ’Main-stream Republicans,’ believe in dollars and D.C. as well. Yuk. Maybe my columns should point out the foolishness of dollar dependence, not D.C. inanity.
