The Jewish Vote and NPR

Mitt won the debate handily, even though liberal media may think and broadcast otherwise.  I really do like “Morning Edition” on NPR when I wake up in the morning, and usually listen to classical music all day long on NPR also.  Morning Edition is commercial free, and delves into news items of general interest, plus lots of obscure but interesting items.  However, I am always shocked at NPR’s political slant, which is so pro-Democrat in all its coverage and editing, that I don’t wonder that Mitt would get rid of ’Big Bird.’  Let NPR and PBS stand on their own.  Poor people don’t listen to either, other other than Sesame Street and cartoon nonsense all day long, which mothers may use as a baby sitter.  People watch pay-tv all the rest of the time, with droll, stupid sit-coms, full of commercials.  Let PBS and NPR get sponsors if they can’t raise enough with fund drives.  I refuse to watch commercial TV, other than Fox News.  I can’t stand the commercials.

It is an accurate generalization, that Jews in America vote and support liberal-Democrat causes and candidates.  The Jewish vote, may allow Obama to retain office.  There are exceptions, but the fact that American Jews are predominately liberal-Democrat is beyond question.  Why?  The difference between liberals and conservatives, is that liberals think big government is a solution, and conservatives think big government is the problem.  Conservatives believe that small government, free enterprise, and individual responsibility is best.  Liberals feel that wealth redistribution is fine, and conservatives abhor it.  Liberals are in favor of socialistic schemes of big government, and conservatives want to reduce the size and power of government.  There are certainly exceptions to both sides, and I curse neo-con conservatives who have betrayed their party.

For years, I have dealt with Jews, lived in Jewish neighborhoods, and have Jewish friends,  Jews always raise their kids to be achievers.  They save, are industrious, strongly believe in education, and excel in whatever profession they may take up, be it medicine, law, music, art, or business.  Jewish divorce rates are microscopic, compared to others, and it is rare to see a Jewish juvenile delinquent or problem child.  Jewish parents take their jobs seriously and achieve marvelous results.

Throughout history, Jews have had to overcome prejudice and persecution, but have done it with hard work.  Since Jews are 100% in favor of individual responsibility, effort, diligent study, achievement, cleanliness, and wealth acquisition, why do they vote for the party that punishes achievement, and rewards laziness and lack of achievement?  One of my favorite authors is the late Sam Levinson, who wrote many wonderful books, mostly dealing with his upbringing and feelings about life.  He was born in abject poverty in the lower east side of New York, in the late 1800’s, when that area was the poorest in America.  His parents stressed cleanliness, study, hard work, familial unity, and self improvement.  It worked for him, as it has for most other kids raised in the Jewish tradition.  But when Jews go into the voting booths or write editorials, they always lean towards taking from the haves and giving it to the have-nots.  Jews teach their own kids to be self sufficient, work hard and succeed, but vote the opposite.

Jews should be the most adamant conservatives, Republicans could ever desire.  Jews are in favor of every single conservative tenet in their personal lives, but usually vote the direct opposite.  Can anyone tell me why?  The liberal welfare state has destroyed America.  Jews are probably the most successful of America’s citizens, and the very idea of a Jew accepting a government handout is anathema.  They wouldn’t stoop to that, but vote to allow others to eat at the public trough. Jews should be the most conservative voters, because they live their lives that way. Why do they live one way and vote the other?  I wish they’d re-consider, as we need them on November sixth.
