I can’t resist it when people send me stuff! The following was sent to me by a client, and it is so obviously pertinent, that I reprint it below.
Moving To Mexico
Dear President Obama,
I’m planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements. We’d plan to skip all the legal stuff, like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same as you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Pena Nieto, that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.
4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
7. Please feed my grandkids, both breakfast and lunch at school.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license, so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and probably won’t make any special effort to learn traffic laws.
10. If the Mexican police officers don’t get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English speaking officer.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my housetop, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July Fourth. Please, allow no complaints from locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without having to pay any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
13. Have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice, and never say critical things about me or my family, because we won’t tolerate racism.
14. I want to receive free food stamps.
15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.
16. I’ll need income tax credits, so that although I don’t pay Mexican taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.
17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican government pays $4,500 to help me buy a new car.
18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program, so that I’ll get a monthly income in retirement.
I know this is an easy request, because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that President Nieto won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.
Thank you so much for your kind help. You’re the man!
Quite obviously, at least to me, the influx of illegals wouldn’t be happening if the above weren’t true here in America.
Store Overseas?
There are several noted, respected columnists and advisors, who charge big for their advice and counseling, and are advising their clients-readers, to store their precious metals overseas. I STRONGLY DISAGREE. Why store what you own, 12,000 miles away? How do you know the place you have them stored, is reliable and honest? How do you know it’s even there? You going overseas to visit it? Come on people, BE REASONABLE. These advisors and columnists say that things are getting tough here. I agree! But, the dollar and United States are far stronger than the euro. If you go to an outfit that sells food that stores for 20 years, because you think you may not be able to buy groceries, do you leave it at the place you bought it, or store it in Europe? What’s the difference? Suppose laws are passed, which prohibit shipping to and from Europe? Maybe you need your gold and silver quickly, and even if it is stored in an honest, secure place, how about customs duties, both in and out, plus how long would it take to get it? We used to ship to customers in Canada, but had to quit because of the duties, and Fedex always getting the shipments all confused. You cannot be serious about shipping your precious metals overseas, I hope. When I started doing this back in 1977, the outfit I got hooked up with (North American Coin and Currency), went bust and all the officers went to jail. I left a year earlier, because I felt uneasy about them. I told every one of my customers to NEVER LET ANYONE STORE YOUR METALS FOR YOU. When North American went the way of all flesh, millions were lost, because all the fools who let them ’store’ their metals for them, lost all. How? North American sold them to try to stay afloat. It’s happened lots of times in all sectors. You bought them, you keep them! We still have the Fourth Amendment, which reads in part, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated………” Sorry Willy and Sinclair, you are dead wrong!
