Was there ever a western movie, without a bar fight?
Was there ever a government, which didn’t spend more than it took in?
Was there ever a bureaucrat, who didn’t try to make himself so important, that he can hire underlings and raise himself up in seeming importance and of course pay scale?
Was there ever a politician, who didn’t vote to give his constituents largess from the public treasury, to get them to vote for him?
Was there ever a government program, school, mail carrier, or government sponsored enterprise, which was efficient and not wasteful?
Was there ever a nation, which didn’t eventually resort to printing press, un-backed by anything currency, which eventually became worthless?
Was there ever a government, which didn’t believe that it could solve all problems, by enlarging itself and crushing its citizenry with pointless rules and regulations?
Was there ever a government, which didn’t lie to its subjects to cover its mistakes and lack of efficiency?
Was there ever a public school, which could compete with home schooling or a private school?
Was there ever a government commercial, which wasn’t absurd, compared to a commercial of a for profit company?
Was there ever a war, which was authorized by a popular vote of the citizenry?
Was there ever someone, who wasn’t suckered in by a sale or something supposedly ’free?’
Was there ever a government owned forest, which was as well cared for, as a privately owned, profit making, forest?
Was there ever a government operated transportation system, which showed a profit, as a privately or corporately owned one does?
Was there ever a ’public’ anything, which was as desirable, clean, or as efficient as a private one?
Was there ever a recipient of a government handout, who would willingly give it up for efficiency’s sake?
Was there ever a Democrat, who understands what the words ’freedom,’ and ’capitalism’ means?
Was there ever a RINO Republican, (Republican in name only), who understands the above?
A few quotes from my hero Thomas Jefferson, are in order:
“Democracy will cease to exist, when you take away from those willing to work, and give to those who would not.”
“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle, which if acted on, would save one-half the wars of the world.”
“I predict happiness for Americans, if they can prevent government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
“My reading of history, convinces me that most bad government, results from too much government.”
And as far as the 800,000 government employees out of work, because they are not ’essential,’ does that give you even a slight idea of how unnecessary and freedom robbing, government out of Washington D.C. really is?
