Will They Shoot Us?

This may not be a foolish question, considering what is and has happened in this supposed to be republic, since Barack Obama took office.  Two hundred thirty eight years ago, Thomas Jefferson wrote, in the Declaration of Independence, that to secure “Certain unalienable Rights, (and) among them are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, (and) that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.”  We, the ’governed’ haven’t consented to any of the millions of rules, regulations, or executive orders which have been issued out of that den of iniquity, Washington D.C. and its environs.  We, also fear the D.C. crowd, and can only imagine what they may have in store for us in the future.  Now, a part of Maryland wants to secede, as part of Colorado does also.  Texas is getting serious about secession.

We the people, hope to correct the grievous faults of the Democrats and Obama’s trampling of our Sacred Constitution, in nine months, by voting the rascals out; taking control of the United States Senate, and holding the House of Representatives.  We also are impatient for Obama’s second term to end.  In the mean time, certain events are so unexplainable and intolerable, that I am wont to wonder if, under bureaucratic instructions, United States troops would fire on their own brothers and fellow citizens?

Consider:  Certain unconstitutional bureaucracies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, and the TSA, have bought, with funds unauthorized by the Congress, millions, and most likely hundreds of millions of rounds of ammunition and firearms of various sizes.  There have been no explanations of such acquisition, nor any possible use for such arms and ammunition, other than for use against American citizens.  Many Americans are understandably fearful of President Obama  declaring a unconstitutional “State of Emergency,” or declaring “Marshal Law.”  The President has publicly declared that he will have his way, even without the consent of the Congress, by use of unconstitutional executive orders, which he has used hundreds of times already.  So called  ’Obamacare’ passed without a single vote of the Republican Party, and was signed into law, despite dire warnings of its overwhelmingly horrid results, in the form of lost medical care and huge costs to the citizenry.  Such warnings have come completely true.  President Obama, in a futile effort to gloss over the law’s obvious glaring catastrophic faults, has illegally, and unconstitutionally legislated and changed statutory law by use of executive order.  Such actions, have finally become so outrageous, that a few Republicans, of the “Tea Party” variety, are going to take the matter to court.  It’s about time!

My worry about troops firing on their fellow citizens, on instructions of a power mad bureaucracy or Presidential order, is not unfounded.  Abraham Lincoln began the War Between the States, by allowing re-supplying a fort on an island owned by South Carolina, after a strong, unmistakable warning.  Lincoln had been warned repeatedly by his top military commander, General Winfield Scott, and most of his cabinet, to abandon Fort Sumter.  One of many quotes of Lincoln, might well dissolve the notion of  getting rid of slavery as an excuse for that terrible war.  “I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in states where it exists.  I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.”  610,000 Americans died in that tragic war, fought over States Rights, as enumerated in the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.  Slavery had nothing to do with it, as modern day apologists mouth.  Lincoln’s invasion of the South, was supposed to “Save the Union,” but the ’Union’ broke apart the day Lincoln was elected, as the first Republican President.  The South knew that his goal was to destroy once and for all, the doctrines of Federalism and states rights, that had, since the beginning, frustrated ambitious politicians like himself, who wanted a highly centralized and greatly enlarged state, a la Alexander Hamilton, FDR, LBJ, and now Obama, who is using every power he can command, to see to it that it happens.  After the defeat of the South, Lincoln’s henchman, Sherman, in his march through the South, murdered, burned, and destroyed everything in his notorious path, with no rhyme or reason.  An American general, killing fellow citizens, and the war was over.

It has happened throughout history.  Stalin, Hitler, Chairman Mao, and other human animals, have ordered murder of their citizenry by gunshot, starvation, or imprisonment.  America went to war foolishly, with no Constitutional declaration, at the behest of George Bush, LBJ, and Harry Truman.  Close to 150,000 American soldiers lost their lives due to those acts of irrational, and inhuman overseas wars.  Will executions of American citizens be ordered, at a command of a President or bureaucrat for non existent, fallacious reasons?  Will politicians follow absurd, murderous ’false flag’ situations, propagated by foolish officials or a President, who has no legitimate credentials to even be a holder of that office?  Will the American military or National Guard, be ordered to shoot their fellow citizens, for some imagined wrong doing?  It really scares me.  I am convinced that the quarter billion firearms held by American citizens, scare the bejesus out of those who would gain total control of our lives, businesses, jobs, and private property.  Our quarter billion guns protect us from criminals, murderers, robbers, and if necessary, oppressive government.  Thanks be to the Second Amendment, Americans are armed.  The Brits and Aussies have had their guns confiscated, and crime has tripled in some cases.  The first thing Hitler did upon coming to power, was to confiscate all guns “for safety sake.” We were in England a couple of years ago, and I took out my Swiss pocket knife to clean my nails or something, and the bus driver almost fainted when he saw it.  He said I could go to jail for a year if police saw me with it.  That’s how far towards totalitarianism, supposedly free nations have come.  America is still the best place to be.

P.S. Happy birthday to me.  I turned 80 on Monday, the 17th.  Am I going to retire?  I thought about it, but I’d get bored, so my wife and I will simply take trips here and there or cruises maybe.  If I’m gone, my kids will care for you.  If I’m ’out of office’ on the web site, we may be taking a brief trip.
