Boots on the Ground, etc.

Damn computers!  I had an entire column written, edited and was going to put it up.  I hit some button, (not delete) and it vanished.  I AM NOT GOING TO REWRITE THE WHOLE THING.  Basically, I said that Iraq should be divided into three sections, as I wrote in a column several years ago.  Kurdish, Sunni, and Shiite.  I also said that what is happening now is just Sunnis trying to get even for Americans installing a Shiite government, which is hideously corrupt.  Saddam’s government was Sunni.   I also said that an aircraft carrier off the coast is no solution, and there should be no boots on the ground.  I then said that all the tens of thousands of kids crossing the border in Texas, should be fed, bathed, clothed, and immediately sent back to Mexico.  Sorry, I’m too angry to rewrite the whole thing.  Damn computers, Damn the military-industrial complex, Damn George Bush getting us there in the first place, and damn Congress and past Presidents who got us into Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq.  Brief enough?  Protect yourself.                        Boots on the Ground (wrote the following on Wednesday)

It’s like history repeating itself.  “Those poor Shiites, which we installed as the government, (even though most Muslims, and practically all Iraqis are Sunnis), are being over run by those wicked Sunnis, who are monsters.  They are cruel, and murderers.”  It’s doubtful that the Sunnis are more cruel and murder more than the Shiite armies, who murdered and tortured just as badly as the Sunnis supposedly are.  Some media say that the Muslims who left the conquered cities are returning, and all is going to be OK.  They say the Sunnis are kind and even have returned some of the money they stole.  Don’t expect war mongering McCain and his gang to believe it though.  They want to go back to Iraq and start it all over again!  How absurd!  It’s over.  Obama might have taken soldiers out too quickly, but it’s OVER. For goodness sakes, get that aircraft carrier out and do not send those (supposedly) 400 troops there, “to protect our embassy.”  The D.C. Gang is trying to start another war to keep the soldiers busy and the military-industrial complex going full tilt.  Isn’t there any way to stop them???

And now we have the IRS ’losing’ all the incriminating e-mails from 2011-2013.  My, how could something like that happen?  It happened, because neither the IRS nor the White Hose, nor the Democrats want to let out the incriminating evidence!  Just like the ’mysterious’ missing 18 minutes of recordings, which Nixon could never find.  Gee Dad, is D.C. corrupt?  Do people and bureaucrats actually lie, mislead, and fabricate testimony, and actions?  Oh No!  You don’t believe that, surely!  Of course, D.C. is as crooked as a pretzel, and not only that, but from what I hear from various posts on the internet, anyone who points out their crookedness and dishonesty, may be in trouble.  Remember the soldier named Brendan Raub?  He vociferously protested on facebook, his opinions about how he thought the country was run.. He was arrested and forced to undergo psychological examinations, which were trying to prove he was nuts.  When a nation gets into a situation like ours is in, governments will stop at nothing, to keep critics quiet.

Look people, I am well past my 80th birthday.  You all know my feelings about stuff.  I am a libertarian, registered Republican, and have written over 1200 columns on this website over the last 15 years.  Want to know how libertarians feel?  Watch “STOSSEL” on Fox News Sunday evenings.  He’s great!  This is a precious metals website, and probably shouldn’t be a place for someone to run his mouth about non-economic, political things.  My economics is simple:  Government can’t and won’t balance its budget, and even the handouts and welfare total up more than the taxes collected, and it gets worse each year.  I urge people to protect themselves with metals, and have given the reasons and figures over and over againI am a very worried about our freedoms being gobbled up by big, jealous government.  They’re watching and listening to us!  I am seriously considering ceasing my column writing.  Because I am tired of writing, first of all, and secondly, at 80 plus years, I’ve said it all, and it might get boring and repetitive.  We’ll see.  Sorry for my computer error Monday!
