What Has Government Done To Us?
(part three)
The governmental war on its citizens, aside from stupid wars, which we never should have participated in, really began with the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who ran on a ’conservative’ platform, and an anti-war platform, but who turned into the biggest fraud and debaser of the American economy and mind, which was far more destructive than probably all the presidents before him, other than dishonest Abe and his War Between The States. Succeeding presidents and congresses, have multiplied the destructive process against us citizens. The destructive process has multiplied endlessly, until today, the citizenry are un-thinking, ill-logical, and totally unaware of the destructive processes that have destroyed the mind and thought process so necessary for prosperous, productive existence, which is what the Founders intended when they wrote and enacted our Constitution Perhaps one word can be used as a description of what has been removed from our minds and lives. This word is so very important, than it cannot be ignored. That word is:
Incentive
A dictionary definition of that key word, INCENTIVE is: "Stimulating one to take action, work harder, etc. Encouraging, motivating." As a noun: "Something that stimulates one to take action, work harder." Illustrations of ’incentive,’ exist in millions of instances in everyone’s life, and take place every day in probably dozens if not more instances. We get hungry, and our incentive it to procure food. Our gas tank is low, and our incentive is to get some gas. Our home looks a bit shabby, and our incentive is to fix it up, paint it, wash the windows or some action which will improve our home. A guy sees a gal who appeals to him, and his incentive is to groom himself, or make himself attractive to the gal in some way, or the reverse with a gal who sees a guy she likes. People buy clothes, use cosmetics, lose weight, get haircuts, shower, and the list is endless of the INCENTIVES used to to impress a boss or member or the opposite sex, and do ordinary actions in life..
Those who have been poorly raised in any of a hundred different ways, usually have little, or even no incentives to make their life and self attractive and desirable to others. Residents of public housing, generally have low levels of incentives, and self esteem, with their lives reflecting it. They live off of government, not work or attainment. They commit crimes against other citizens, with nary a feeling of guilt…to make a generalization. In 2015, there are millions of people who live off of government, commit heinous crimes, and act their lives in totally irresponsible ways. They live from welfare check to the next welfare check, and their incentives are of the most basic and even debased kinds.
One of the most important incentives man has, is to prepare for the future. Looking into the future, takes on many facets and distances. If we want to preserve our cars, we will change their oils and wash and wax them, so they will be reliable and even sellable in the future. If we want to live healthy lives, our incentives will be to not smoke, do drugs, or eat unhealthy foods. We will take vitamins and minerals, stay clean, and care for our bodies. If we want to prepare for old age, we will save, preferably in real money such as gold and silver. Those with higher IQ’s or greater sense of logic, will realize that paper monies always end up with a value of zero. Those with low incentives will smoke, do drugs, become alcoholics, drive recklessly, care little for personal possessions or fellow citizens. All these are of course generalizations, and the variations of them are in the thousands.
One of the very first attacks on the minds of the American citizenry, was when FDR and his Democrat Congress passed the Social Security Act.. This was designed to he humanitarian, and to ’help’ the citizenry, but in reality it removed part of one of our most important incentives, and that was the incentive to save for our old age. One of the best chapters in my re-printed book "I Hold These Truths," is chapter 20, titled "Just a Few cents Each." The Social Security system, was to take just a dollar or two from each paycheck for an old age retirement. Sounds great, doesn’t it? But it removed part of the American incentive to save and prepare for old age. This weakened us. It began the process of destroying our healthy, life preserving, incentives. No, it didn’t weaken us so that everyone knew what was happening to them. It was a small pollutant, a small infection, in the body politic, in the individual mind of America, which destructive germ removed part of our incentive to prepare for the future with our own brains and effort. For 150 years prior to Social Security, Americans had planned, saved, and prepared for their old age, and had the God given incentives to do so. Pat of those incentives was removed, and Americans became weaker. Not only weaker, but the process of weakening us, had gotten a foot in the door, which would never be removed, and which life and morality destroying influences would grow and grow, and grow. Social Security was not voluntary, but compulsive.
What Social Security did do, was to infect the American mind with the total untruth and lie, that government can give you something, without taking it from you or someone else first. The myth of government providing something at no cost, was the beginning of the big lie, which pervades us today, and which the un-thinking, illogical, non-reading, public school and college educated citizenry have been brainwashed into actually believing: That government can hand out things, at no cost. The process of the ’handing out,’ has infected the public so much, that it has been used ever since Social Security began, to win elections at all levels, by promising endless handouts from big brother, whether ’he’ be in D.C., the state, county, or local governments, but in the main in that bastion of corruption and vote buying, Washington D.C. Social Security has been with us for 80 years, and few can remember not being forced to pay into it. The above may sound harsh, but government began the current, mind debilitating process, in 1933. Social Security has always been actuarially unsound. Social Security supposedly has all your money tucked away in a strong box for you to use when you retire. No, all confiscated dollars have been placed in the general fund, and the so called "Social Security lock box," is merely Treasury I-Owe-You pieces of paper. backed by thin air.
And that’s not all dear reader. The dictionary definition of a ’slave,’ is: "A person who is completely dominated by some influence, habit, person, etc. Such as a slave to fashion, a slave to drugs." I might add, ’A slave to government.’ If someone is forced to become a member of some program, without his or her consent, and has their earned money taken without his or her consent, on the premise that some future ’benefit’ will accrue, to say that this is ’beneficial,’ is totally wrong. How is a forced action in any form, or for any reason, ’beneficial?’ With Social Security, government adds to what it has forcefully taken from your salary, ’for future benefits.’ Obviously, the result of this is more money printed, and decreased value of your dollars, or ’inflation,’ which is a universal taxation, without our consent. This, initially, didn’t seem like a form of slavery, but as each year has passed, we have indeed become slaves of government. This is only a small smidgen of what government has done to us. This can go on for many, many chapters.
P.S. Would we have ’terrorism’ to watch out for if we hadn’t invaded Muslim nations, as the self-appointed ’cop of the world,’ or maybe ’the spreader of democracy,’ to those who aren’t interested? If America were invaded by Muslim nations, to convert us to their ’true religion,’ would we be outraged? Damned right, and they are exactly that. Why, oh why, cannot the buffoons in D.C., both Democrats and Republicans, stop invading Muslim nations, and let them all kill themselves or others who might invade? Why can’t America stop sending troops, and keeping troops where they are not wanted? If the ISIS is murdering innocents, I am sorry, but it’s none of our business. They’re using our equipment we abandoned, and using ransoms for kidnapped victims to pay for their crimes. They are using confiscated gold from churches to mint gold coins to sell, for financing their actions. Iraq has been totally destroyed with millions dead and injured. Millions left homeless and buildings turned into rubble. The current box office hit "American Sniper," is not patriotism, but rather a classic illustration of the futility of war. The film is wonderfully done, but if you see it, note the utter destruction we and our allies have wrought, and for what? How is it ’patriotic’ to watch a sniper shoot and kill, in a nation we have already destroyed? Shooting and killing native Iraqis, who are outraged at our invasion?
