The latest power grab is really frightening. The last, free of editing, free of government interference, free of regulations, and total freedom to express views contrary to the establishment, is the internet. The internet runs all by itself, with no dependence of any kind on government facilities, and is totally free from governance of any kind, is the internet. Anti-establishment, anti-Obama, anti-Obamacare, anti-Federal Reserve, anti-socialist, anti-communist, pro-freedom, anti-anything the D.C. creeps put forth as gospel truth, which we all know is nothing more than B.S. The internet has pornography I hear, and pro-communist, pro-ISIS, pro-socialist, and in short total freedom of expression. D.C. goons, including Republicans in name only (RINOS), Democrats, and bureaucrats, all hate the internet, and are doing their damndest to kill it. The FCC has dragged up a 1934 law, and decided that the internet should be applied to it. THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED DEAD IN IT’S TRACKS, or freedom will be lost. It will be the usual ’gradualism’ type of thing. "Well, we’re just trying to keep bad stuff off of it," or maybe, "We have to look after the kids," or some such total garbage. If the FCC, or any other government disaster ever gets its foot in the door, all is lost I am afraid. They’ll make it impossible to get a web site up without their approval, and they’ll edit and tramp on everyone’s web site. The First Amendment will be lost, as will all freedom of expression. The internet is the one freedom of expression thing which has already been tramped upon, edited, and eliminated, guess where? Russia, China, and any totalitarian nation. These people are denied knowledge of what’s going on in the rest of the world, and especially the semi-free ones like the USA. As my last column, please do everything in your power to see to it that the internet remains free of government strings, prohibitions, .licenses, regulation, or interference of any kind. PLEASE DO THIS FOR ME AND AMERICA, AS MY LAST REQUEST.
As you know, I have retired. At 81, I am entitled to do so. Many thought I could never do it, but I am enjoying it immensely so far. I have written over 1200 of these, and this will be the last. My son David is taking over. Millions have read these columns. I figured that if I reprinted a book of over 300 pages and 90 chapters, they would sell instantly, and especially at no profit. Book cost – $6. Postage $3.17. Padded envelope in which to ship them 47 cents. Labels, a couple of cents. Time to deposit checks, rent a post office box, open bank account, etc. plus lots of time and energy. I figured that at $9.95, with not a cent of profit,. they’d disappear instantly. I was wrong. I had a thousand printed, and still have close to half. I guess they’ll be consigned to a dumpster eventually. Thanks a lot faithful readers!
I suspect I have drifted away from the original purpose of these columns, which were going to be economic, and the beauty of gold and silver. I have digressed into politics, rotten Obama and Democrats. Sorry. My columns have changed nothing, any more than other web sites, books, talk shows, TV etc. I can’t believe how much destruction Obama and his clan have caused to America! Why hasn’t some congressman or lawyer challenged the very existence of over 2,000 federal agencies who make their own rules, all of which are unconstitutional? It is simply outrageous what Obama has done, and for that matter, why he is even there in the first place. My columns have changed nothing, so why waste effort? Politicians have financed the lives of millions who should not be alive, but long dead. Politicians have given away failing dollars as if there were no tomorrow, and have bred millions of worthless, non working, copulating, child bearing, criminal, city destroying, vile people, who will always vote Democrat, because those are the ones who provide for their worthless selves. Gold and silver are the best way to save, and aren’t dependent on government to back them, guarantee them, or in any way approve or disapprove of them. My archives will still be there, if you wish to review past columns. It’s been a fun 38 years which I have been doing this. I started buying gold at about $150 an ounce and silver at well under $4. The ratio in 1980 was 16 to 1, and as I write this it is 73 to 1, making silver an incredible buy. When I started doing this, we had nothing but Krugerrands to sell, since the Maple Leaf didn’t start till 1980 and Gold Eagles in 1986. Had fun and made a lot of friends. Back in the 1970’s I used to carry a Krugerrand around in my pocket. I lost it and never did it again. I met Bunker Hunt who lost his fortune trying to corner the world’s silver supply. I have seen companies go bankrupt, and do all sorts of unethical practices. If you can keep an A Plus Better Business Bureau rating for all that time, you must be pretty honest! My phone is still hooked up and if it is ever necessary for me to return, because one of my kids is sick, markets demand it or something, I can be back, but I am enjoying my freedom from writing columns, and being a slave to my desk, even for six hours a day. As a ham radio operator might say when signing off… "73’s to you."
