Marco Rubio was on Fox News last night for an extensive interview. He’s OK, but not a Trump. When asked about his opinion of the $15 minimum wage, he spouted forth with about a 3 minute nonsensical spiel about what government should do, etc, etc. Utter nonsense and typical of a politician. If anyone asked me about the minimum wage, I could answer in just one sentence. "THERE SHOULD BE NO MINIMUM WAGE, IT’S NONE OF GOVERNMENT’S BUSINESS WHAT WAGES ARE PAID TO ANYONE, AND MINIMUM WAGES ARE MERELY LEGAL UNEMPLOYMENT AND BUSINESS DESTROYER." A wage paid to a worker is an agreement between employee and employer. At a local Burger King, there’s a guy named "Rudy," who has been employed at the restaurant for 27 years. He’s a wonderful guy! Has a deformed right hand, so he mostly uses his left. He’s not a super intelligent fellow, but a wonderful worker! He keeps the place spotless, and greets all visitors, and tells them as they leave to have a good day.
If I needed an employee, I’d hire Rudy in a second. I have no idea how much he earns, but even though he is a great guy, his physical infirmities, and probable low IQ, make him not worth $15 an hour. This wonderful guy might lose his job, and this is probably true of millions of workers. McDonalds is a great place for kids to learn how to work, be responsible, and get a good start in life. Is a teenager who has never worked in his life, and know nothing about his new job, worth $15 an hour? Of course not. There should be no minimum wage of any amount. It started with one of the worst Presidents, FDR, in 1938. Yuk!
