(1) I'm a registered Republican, but sometimes I wonder if maybe I should just be an independent or forget the whole thing. Consider: Republicans have control of both the House and Senate. What have they done? Moan and groan about not having a necessary 60 votes in the Senate to overcome an Obama veto. They have accomplished NOTHING since achieving control of both houses at the last election, other than threatening to shut down the government again with Planned Parenthood funding. Go ahead stupidos, and watch America veto you in November. What should they have done in the last years when they have had control? Pass lots of bills which they like and which Americans would heartily agree with, and which Democrats would have voted against, with Obama vetoing all of them. Then the Democrats who voted against the bills which Americans would have liked to see passed, would have had their name pasted on all Republican campaign posters and advertisements, pointing out that they voted against what Americans wanted. The Democrats would have lost the next election, and Republicans achieved a veto proof Congress. All so simple. YOU HAVE CONTROL, SO WHO CARES IF OBAMA VETOS ALL OF THEM? PASS THEM ANYWAY, which would give you lots of feathers in your caps, plus huge advertising plusses in the next election. Maybe if you dummies passed a bill denying funding for Planned Parenthood, and Demos and Obama vetoed and voted against, you would not have shut down the government, but easily made your point with America. I think Ted Cruz is a great guy, but he erred tremendously with the government shut down.
(2) I think Don Trump could save America, but he's so much of a narcissistic character, that he will never admit he's wrong, and this continues to lower his lead. Not only that, but why does he insist on calling others names? HOW STUPID! More percentage points down the drain. He's rich and smart, but he must have a screw loose somewhere, as he can't control his tongue, which may cost him the job he wants, and for which he has spent a lot of dollars. He would shake up D.C. like no other could, and for the benefit of America, but if he doesn't stop calling people ugly names, he will never make it. Carly may not be beautiful, but she's smart, eloquent, and would make a great president. Hey Jeb, I don't want another Bush in the White House, but if you would get rid of those granny glasses, and get ex-Texas Governor's big, black heavy shades, you might not look so much like a wimp.
(3) Abortion has nothing to do with anything, other than to alienate voters from you. It maybe should be a state's right thing, but the Supremes were totally wrong. Say so in your ads! Say you might not approve, but it's an individual's choice, and let it go at that! Stop trying to legislate morality. Let churches, parents, and do-gooders advocate, but stop trying to pass laws prohibiting your ideas of morality. I've never done any drugs of any kind, but Colorado has made marijuana legal, and it has gotten a lot of taxes paid on that stuff. I still have never done it, and won't, as neither will most of us Colorado residents. I also understand that narcotics arrests and traffic accidents have gone down a lot. The drug war has always been utterly stupid, and still is. Let 'em kill themselves if they're so stupid, and we'll be rid of them. Meantime, alcohol kills thousands every year in traffic and poisonings, and it's LEGAL! Dumb.
(4) I really do believe, and probably most Americans do also, that we have no business messing in other's fights, wars, and problems. Build the strongest war machine in the world, but keep it home! Become a vcirtually neutral nation who will trad with any and all, but will give no advice, nor send troops anywhere. I think that would win a lot of votes.
