Ageing, is an unavoidable process. I'm ancient, and when I was a kid, I thought that anyone 30 was 'really old.' I wouldn't trade my life's experiences and knowledge gained for any price, but age is really important in the upcoming election. If you watched the Republican Convention, you must have seen that it was generally populated with 'baby boomers,' and ancients like myself. 'Baby Boomers,' are now mature, usually think far more lucidly than they did at an earlier age, and will probably be Trump voters. For Donald Trump to win, he has to not only appeal to my age and 'baby boomers,' but to the 'millennials' who are age 18-34. They number over 75 million, have a lot of student debt, have seen their incomes and wages go down 8% since Obama took office, 61% are worried about the future of America, have an average credit card debt of $12,500, and most are so self-assured that they refuse to change their minds about virtually anything. They need to, a far as voting and politics are concerned! Trump desperately needs to slant his advertising and speeches to attract them. 75 million voting age millennials are extremely important!
There are at least two other categories which must be won, or at least partly won for Trump to win. They are the Hispanics and Negroes, or as they are incorrectly called, "African Americans." (They are no more 'African American' than I am a 'Dutch American,' since their ancestors came here before 1808). The 'blacks', (also incorrect, as they have intermarried with whites over the last 200 years, and they are now brown in various shades). At any rate, the Negroes seem to be solidly in the Hillary camp, although Trump may indeed may make some inroads, since Obama has done nothing for them, and they have lost a tremendous number of jobs to illegals. A constantly greater number of them have thrown off the welfare addiction, and become genuine, working class, middle class, and even upper class Americans. No thanks to welfare, but whole families and proper upbringing. Two parent, working, cultured, families produce excellent children of all races.
The Hispanics who are here and can vote, legal or illegal, (unfortunately, illegals can vote in some places), are usually against illegal immigration, and since they have their feet in the American door, want to stop more from entering. Trump needs to appeal to Hispanic voters, and it should not be too difficult. I am certain he has an excellent staff to advise him on tactics covering all sectors of the voting population.
I wish they could teach him, far to many times, to keep his thoughts to himself, since many of his off-the-cuff remarks have harmed his chances. The most severe might have been his Megan Kelly outburst during the debates, but there have been others. I love the guy, send him money, and no one is perfect, but a candidates' imperfections and candid outbursts, can indeed ruin his chances at election. Hillary seems to be melting like a Popsickle ( any one remember 'Popsickles?') on a hot pavement, but we'll see what their convention brings. Trump's 'Crooked Hillary' appelation is great. You've got to be as old as me, or close, to remember what the Democrats did to Barry Goldwater with their ads inferring that if he got elected, dire things would be certain to happen, such as an atomic war, etc. Those ads defeated a wonderful man, who, if he had been elected, the past 50 years in America would have been absolutely great. I am certain that the Democrats have excellent ad men. Ronnie Reagan made it on his second try, and did a pretty good job for two terms, even with Alzheimer's at the very end of his second term. Trump won't have that happen to him, I am certain, but he must be elected, if for no other reason, than to secure the Supreme Court. Send him some money! Ger a "Make America Great Again' cap and proudly wear it.
