One of the most used expressions by the liberals (progressives), is “Globalism.” This is another way of saying “One World,” or perhaps as I believe it means, “Let’s all get together and bring down the productive, prosperous, inventive, strong, independent, free nations and populations, so that we can average them at a much lower level and harass them with endless government.” Is this the way to Utopia? Perhaps, “Let’s submerge those nasty, white, smart, free people with illiterate, non productive, non English speaking, free loaders from Somalia, Africa, or anywhere where their governments and lack of intelligence have kept them in an uncivilized state.” How about, “Let’s make America go bankrupt by having to feed, house, put up with their crimes, and attempt to educate, hoards of immigrants, about which no one knows anything.” Is that being unfair?
A bit of history, if you please: Our Founders wanted a nation free from excessive taxes, government, unregulated immigration, royalty, and above all, untrammeled freedom. They wrote a marvelous Constitution, which limited the powers of government, and America grew into a nation which was the envy of the entire world. Just about anything that has been invented, has been invented and patented in America. Mass production, television, telephones, electricity, elevators, and hundreds if not thousands of things we all take for granted now, are products of a free people. Free to think, innovate, invent, manufacture and sell. All for a profit of course. The freedom to do anything the mind can conjure up, while not harming anyone, but at the same time not using limited government to help anyone other than to protect the nation from foreign invaders and domestic criminals. No subsidies, in other words. Our once free nation began to disintegrate ever so slowly, but at an increasing rate when FDR instituted the welfare system in the 1930’s. Since then, freedom and prosperity have decreased at an ever increasing rate…generally, but not exclusively… thanks to the Democratic Party.
Globalization probably got its foot in the door when Sam Walton died. Sam started Walmart, and his stores sold only American made goods and merchandise. He advertised this fact, and was supremely proud of it
Sam’s four kids became the richest kids in America at their father’s death, and not being aware of, or not caring about their father’s wishes and modus operendi, decided to see if they could get merchandise cheaper overseas. China was dirt poor as was Japan and Mexico. Thus began the ‘big box’ phenomena, with much of everything sold in America being made overseas. A few decades later, literally tens of thousands of American factories and tens of millions of jobs have disappeared. Government, in an effort to conceal that glaring fact, has jiggered the unemployment rate down to 4.8%, a glaring lie. Currently, there are over 92 million Americans out of work, and if that were factored into the 4.8% lie, that figure would probably be close to 20%.
As if that weren’t bad enough, now millions of illegals pour across unguarded borders between Mexico and the U.S., and hundreds of thousands of unvetted, undocumented aliens freely come into America. This is ‘globalization.’ America was once the wealthiest, best educated, most prosperous nation on earth, and the envy of the entire world. If anyone wanted to immigrate, they were welcome, as long as they had a sponsor, and could pass a medical examination. America has been made up of legal, healthy, sponsored, immigrants, and we all know them, their descendents, and admire and love them.
This globalization thing, has reduced America to huge unemployment, enormous taxes, millions of job and factory losses, a gigantic worthless bureaucracy, dual languages, poverty, ruined cities, colossal crime rates, usually committed by illegals, and now, thanks to enough Americans having had enough of it, the election of Donald Trump. We now have a faint glimmer of hope on the horizon. Trump has recruited rich, smart people for his cabinet. Chapter 17 of I Hold These Truths is titled “What’s Wrong With Being Rich? Trump has vowed to lower taxes to bring jobs and corporations back to America, to seal the border with Mexico, and deport undesirables. He has promised to fill vacant seats on the Supreme Court with Constitutionalists, and to get rid of worthless bureaucracies. These are but a few of Trump’s goals, and it is difficult to see how anyone could disagree with him.
I thought all but a very few of “I Hold These Truths” were gone, but I found a case full which had escaped me, so 38 are available, at the same $9.95 rate, shipped to you. Only singles please, as there are far too few for more than one to a person. Don Stott 1-888-786-8822
