Trump can, hopefully by executive order, ban all immigrants from getting on the welfare wagon for five years! Implemented without a bill and Congressional vote, which would take a lot of time. That would easily cease 95% of illegals crossing the border. Why come if there are no handouts? That may be one of his brightest ideas. He has surrounded himself with rich, brilliant, men and women, who got that way by brains and effort, plus perhaps a bit of inheritance. So what? If they inherited some, their parents must have been bright, and brains can some down through inheritance as well as money. There is a huge difference in mental outlook between politicians and business people! Politicians seem to spend their time raising money and worrying about re-election. A business person tries to please his customers, be efficient, control costs, and show a profit doing it. Politicians in either party, seem to be so stuck on the security and prestige of office, that efficiency is never considered.
Our founders loved immigration, and America is made up of immigrants. In order to be admitted to America, the applicant had to be in good health, be examined for such, have a sponsor, and have a job or source of income lined up, so they would not be a burden on the tax-paying nation. There was no welfare of any kind in those days. The welfare state, begun by FDR, ruined the system which gave America wonderful, hard working, striving to achieve, immigrants, who made America great. It was a gradual process, which peaked under Obama, who welcomed one and all, with no qualifying, endless welfare, medical care, schooling, driver’s licenses, cell phones, and all that could be found to give to illegals. Trump has vowed to “Make America Great Again,” as my red hat exclaims. I’m proud to wear it.
There are five Senators who cannot vote for their comrades’ health plan for various reasons. This should not stop a positive vote. All they need to do is voice their objection and correct their problem. It can then be made into a bill, since the one they object to, is merely a rough draft. When it is agreed to by the Senate, and voted upon, it can then go to the House, straighten out any objections, and send it to Trump. Presto! Another of his promises kept, just like the veterans bill, which he has signed. In Newt’s new book; the chapter on veterans, gives some absolutely shocking statistics, which are almost unbelievable, except the damage was done by bureaucrats. Trump’s veterans’ bill was agreed to by Democrats as well as Republicans. As President Trump has said over and over again, America can be made great again, if the Democrats and Republicans can get along and skip party alliances.
What is now happening in D.C., and the way Trump is fighting it and defeating his opponents, is almost miraculous. Here we see the media in lock step, other than Fox News, doing everything in their power to defeat him and his plans to make America whole again. The Democrats are doing everything in their power to try to oust him. Probably never in history has a new administration been faced with fake news, 100% opposition from the other party, and every legal and illegal method of defeating an administration.
In their entire history, the Democrat Party has never been as far left as it is now, and actually seems to moving further left, if that is possible, without actually declaring itself to be communist or totally socialist. Why can’t they realize that when a nation fails, such as Greece and Venezuela, it has ALWAYS been the fault of government leaning further and further to the left, (socialism and wild spending), which has gotten them in a failed state. Greece has so much debt, it can never be repaid, thanks to years of leftist political leaders spending without limit, and promising everything to voters, with no idea of how it could be repaid. Venezuela went from exporting food and a robust economy, to people starving, for the same reason. Don Stott
