Economics is the backbone of every business, individual, and state. Without excellent ratios between buyers and sellers, and government expenditures and tax receipts, bankruptcy will surely be threatened. With that in mind, I quote a reliable source for one sector of the economics of the state of Illinois.
“The state of Illinois debt is currently $203 billion ($203,000,000,000.00), and growing rapidly. The reason is: The state has too many ‘breadwinners.’ Hard to believe, but it’s happening all over the country, and not just in Illinois. An emergency room physician tells of a woman in her late twenties who came into the ER with her 8th pregnancy. She told the doctor, “My Mama told me I am the breadwinner of the family.” He asked her to explain.
“She said that I can make babies, and babies get money from the state of Illinois for the family. It goes like this. The grandma calls the Department of Child & Family Services, and states that her unemployed daughter is not capable of caring for all of her kids. The DCFS agrees, and tells her the kids need to go to foster care. Then, grandma agrees to be the foster parent, and receives a check for $1500 per child each month in Illinois. The total yearly income is $144,000. $1500 times 8 = $12,000 per month, times 12 months = $144,000 per year.
She’s in her late 20’s. How many more can she have? Tax free, and nobody has to go to work. In fact, they get more if there is no husband, father, or man in the home, not to mention free health care, (Medicaid), plus a monthly card entitling them to free groceries and a voucher for 250 free Obamacare phone minutes each month. This does not include WIC and other welfare benefits they are ‘entitled’ to. Indeed grandma was correct that her fertile daughter is the ‘breadwinner’ for the family, and now Illinois is hopelessly overrun with people who will keep them continually on the dole. No wonder our country is broke.
“Read the above again, until it sinks in, and then ask yourself if your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will survive these severe changes in America. Are you alarmed yet? Is anybody listening? Don’t forget to pay your taxes. There are a lot of ‘breadwinners’ depending on you.”
Makes me glad I’ll be 84 in couple of weeks. Is there a solution? Of course, but my solution would be considered harsh and inhumane. I’ve had enough of this type of economics – Don Stott – 1-888-786-8822
