Real Money Everywhere

I have often told my clients that gold and silver are real money around the world, throughout all ages, and in all currencies.  Bitcoin is supposedly not connected with governments around the world, and someone can use bitcoin as real money, which I doubt.  Why do I doubt it?  Because anyone can fabricate a bitcoin if they are expert in engraving and have a press.  It has no intrinsic value, because it is just brass, and brass or copper are about $2.75 a pound.  U.S. paper currency uses a very special paper and engraving techniques, which makes them pretty difficult to counterfeit, but it is done thousands of times everywhere.  If that is not true, next time you go to a super market with a hundred dollar bill, watch the cashier mark it with a brown felt tip pen.  If it is counterfeit, the mark will turn black they say, although I have never seen it done…thankfully.  You think bitcoin is impossible to counterfeit?  Don’t hold your breath waiting.

Gold and silver are government free, and they have real value.  Gold and silver coins and bars have no serial numbers, and no one knows you have them.  Go into a coin shop and buy or sell a coin, and except the coin shop will be far higher to buy than Colorado Gold, and we will always pay more than a coin shop if you sell, because we don’t have to mark the coin up 50% to re-sell it at a profit.  If you bought from us, a flat $25 fee when you sell.  I did a $110,000 sell from a client of mine, and he had to pay a total of $25.  Gold and silver are available on Craig’s List, yard sales, E-bay, etc, and no one is asking for your ID if you do it in person, and you keep that driver’s license and Social Security number to yourself.  Admittedly, if you carry a lot of cash, a lot of gold coins or I am certain bitcoin, when traveling overseas, there may be a duty to pay.  Wanna be free of government meddling?  Buy gold and silver, store them in a safe place, and pass them off to your kids with no inheritance taxes, or sell a few if you need money.  I’ve got two 2013 gold Buffalos a client of mine, who wants to sell for the current price, with no commission and no shipping charges.  Call me.

Gold and silver require exploration, mining, milling, smelting, manufacturing, and distribution.  Their content is valuable, because they require so much exploration, machinery, chemicals, and safe storage. A brass coin of any denomination is just that.  A brass coin.  If you have ever ridden a merry-go-round, at least in the old days, maybe not now, you would try to get a brass ring from the device as you went around, you are supposed to throw them in a basket when the ride is over.  I’m sure a lot of kids have a collection of brass rings from old carousels.  Here we go again with word derivations.  The word ‘carousel’ comes from, and is a contraction of ‘carry us all,’ if that makes your day.

The price of gold will instantly tell you the condition of that nation’s currency, and also their basic economic condition.  Will the buck collapse?  Not unless everything here goes to hell in a hand basket, and with Trump in charge, that is very doubtful.  Gun sales are down, because we all feel secure now, and we also have a conservative Supreme Court.  We’re Making America Great Again.  Don’t worry, gold and silver are REAL MONEY! – Don Stott – 1-888-786-8822
