Hi Don,
I have purchased from you in the past from Melissa when I lived in ……. Currently I am building my cash (which as you know is almost like money) supply to deploy when our next Republican recession hits. History tells me that there is a high probability that it will occur before 2020 based on the fact that every so called "Republican" (has anyone seen Robert Taft lately?) president has given us one in their very first term in office going back to Teddy Roosevelt! — Tax cuts without off-setting spending cuts just doesn't seem to balance out well.
Anyway recalling 2008 silver being an industrial metal crashed the same 50 percent or so as the markets did and I expect that we will see that happen again but probably much worse being the Fed doesn't have much ammo left these days. I suspect that we may well see single-digit silver again and I will be contacting Melissa when that day appears. Good luck to us all because I fear that this time we may even revisit 1929 in De'Je Vu all over again.
The best to you and you family!
Regards,
C D
Dear C D
In 2008 everything crashed, including metals. However, I felt quite safe, since I had no debt, and still don't. I had and still have, PHYSICAL things, such as two rental houses, a fine home full olf antiques, a 75 year old antique truck, and lots of gold and silver in my safe. Should I sell my PHYSICAL wealth, based on an assumption that everything might go down? I think it would be more fun to go to las Vegas and stuff hundred dollar bills into a slot machine! In your note you said that "The fed doesn't have much ammo left these days." And you are going to convert your real wealth into their ammo??? C D, why would you sell your physaical wealth to speculate on paper money going down? Or stocks going down? Or even gold and silver goling down IN PAPER MONEY, not in real tangible value? Gold and silver have been REAL MOEY FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS IN ALL PAPER MONIES AND BY ANY OTHER MEASURE. Gold and silver require so much effort, capital and energy to produce, as opposed to turning on the switch of a printing press and being sure there is a supply of paper to print fake money. I am goinmg to use your letter as a column, concealing your name and address of course.
