It’s Over

It’s not only over, but ‘All of Trumps’ horses and all of Trumps’ men, can’t put it back together again.’  All the nonsense prevailing on the internet is so silly as to be laughable.  It’s over, and we lost. Want to know why our guy failed?  I think there are three reasons, and maybe a lot more, but to me, the three main ones are:

A quote from Friday’s Journal by Kimberly Strassel: “If Washington has been a circus these last four years, it is in substantial part due to congressional Democrats.  Americans elect lawmakers to pass budgets, confirm judges, (and) develop considered legislation.  The Pelosi-Schumer era has been day after painful day of faux scandals, gotcha hearings, breathtaking accusations, progressive-fantasy bills, and promises to dismantle long standing institutions.  It’s theatre, not governance.”  I might add, an attempted impeachment for a 25-minute phone call.

The media, even before he was elected, achieved a history making home run on fake news, fake testimony and fake quotes, from anyone or anything at any time. The continuous bombast over four years, aimed at a sitting, elected president, was contagious and influencing upon America, who mostly didn’t have sense enough to tell the difference.  Probably for the first time in American history, a past president swung a haymaker at his successor.

And of course, I must blame defeat directly on the president himself.  Endless tweets, lies, exaggerations, and name calling ad infinitum, ad continuum, drove endless nails in his executive coffin.  The President acted almost childish too many times, and broadcast his opinions before finding the truth of the situation.   An example of this, was his handling of the Chinese virus, which changed many votes I am sure.  It was in all probability the fault of his son-in-law, but he upheld and followed his preachments, probably helping his defeat.

Donald Trump’s four years in office, did America not only proud, but changed it for decades to come.  He is a master of public speaking, and was tireless in his appeal to the logic and patriotism of the populace, whatever there is left of it.  His endless disposal of hundreds of needless, profit eroding regulations, moving Israel’s capital, discussions with North Korea’s Kim Jung Un, mending decades of long animosity between Israel and the Arabs, and of course bringing factories back to America by cutting taxes, is part of his shining term.  The list of his achievements will echo throughout ensuing years, and will be remembered and praised, not only by his current devotees, but even future analysis of neutral but honest historians.  He brought down the unemployment rate for all races, and the stock market has bloomed heavenward.  He weathered scorn and harassment by Democrats and the media, but even by his own Justice Department and FBI, another smudge against these two supposed non-political entities.

The list can and undoubtedly will go on, as details of his reign’s glories will be examined.  The examinations could prove disastrous to Bidens’ minions two years from now.  At least we, the defeated, can hope for such a reversal.
