I Just read a fascinating book titled, “With Wings Like Eagles.” It’s about the Battle of Britain in 1940. Excellent book if you’re into WW II. The casualties were enormous. Hundreds of thousands killed and injured, thousands of planes shot down, and huge cost. The author failed to mention that England declared war on Germany September 3, 1939. Had not England foolishly declared war on Germany, there would have never been a ‘Battle of Britain.’ The book also stresses that Hitler didn’t want to bomb England, and kept postponing it, which jives perfectly with Pat Buchanan’s book, proving, to me anyway, that but for Churchill, there might never have been such a war!
“Will gold bottom out?” That is a question from a customer of Melissa’s, and the answer isn’t difficult to answer. Do you think America will ever balance its budget and stop printing money? “The more of anything there is, the less they will be worth.” (Stott’s Law). This includes dollars. Money proliferation and debt, will continue till the end of the dollar, which will be just like the end of all other paper monies, and that is zero. Tomorrow or next year? Probably not, but eventually, and that’s why it’s foolish to save in dollars, rather than in gold and silver, which can never be priced less that their cost to mine, mill, smelt, manufacture, and distribute. The dollar has lost 95% of its value (purchasing power) in as many years, and the process will continue endlessly. All tangibles will continue to ‘go up’ in dollar prices, including milk, real estate, gold and silver, clothes, appliances, cars, and every other physical thing you may buy. There will be ups and downs, like last Monday, when gold went below $1800 briefly, but “bottoming out?” “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin,” as the little pig said.
The current COVID-19 Chinese flu has proven to be dangerous and highly contagious. Correct? Many say no. I have read that a huge percentage of those ‘infected’ have no symptoms, and they may have the ordinary flu which season is upon us now. We have to wear masks, and everything is locked down, doing hideous damage to the economy. The current Chinese flu has occurred during Trump’s presidency. Compare the current situation with other flus. The swine flu epidemic in 2010, infected 1.5 billion, and killed upward of 200,000. No media howling and hysteria. No massive unemployment, lockdowns and masks. No social distancing or panic. The media ignored it. It was under an Obama Democratic presidency. Everyone was open for business! The media loved Obama, and kept total silence about that flu.
The Asian flu of 1957, was during the last administration of Eisenhower. The media hadn’t yet learned how ‘not waste a disaster.’ The Asian flu, out of a population of 175 million, or about 55% of what the current population is, infected tens of millions of Americans, hospitalized hundreds of thousands, and killed 116,000. No lockdowns, no masks, massive job wipe-outs, and no damage to the economy.
The Hong Kong flu, during the presidency of Lyndon Johnson, with a population of 200 million, infected tens of millions, hospitalized hundreds of thousands, killed 100,000 in the U.S., and 4 million throughout the world. Did the media and democrats then paint us into a corner, shut down everything, force mask wearing, and boarded up businesses? Of course not, because LBJ didn’t want to hurt his presidency. He did that himself, and didn’t run for a second term. Democrats under OVID-19, have used this ‘crisis’ to publicize the China flu, and cause huge unemployment, damaging the economy, which may never recover.
The Chinese flu (OVID -19), is another attempt to remove Trump from office. They did finally did it, didn’t they? On November 3rd, Democrats had been insisting on the lie that Trump mishandled the Chinese flu, and that plus the Dominion ballot machinery, lying vote counters and Democrat election officials and Obama appointed judges, defeated him. Unlike past flus, which compared to populations then, were just as severe as the current one, but the current Democrat controlled media, both print and TV, finally got their way after trying frantically for over four years. Where does the daily count of 200,000 new infections originate? Does every doctor and hospital have some direct line to the media, releasing these obviously fake figures? What a fraud. Every day new infection and death figures are instantly available. Probably for the first time in history, like magic, fake figures are publicized every day.
Early Thursday morning, on TCM, I saw a 1952 film about the B-29 (Enola Gay), which dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Paul Tibbets was the pilot, and he named the plane Enola Gay after his Mom. It wasn’t a great film, but it showed the B-29 in all its glory. There were quite a few in existence then, as opposed to now. Today, I think there are only a couple left. What an enormous plane! 1,000 were made, and first went into service in early 1942. The ‘Super Fortress,’ had a wing span of 141 feet, weighed over 70 tons, had a crew of ten, flew over 200 missions, had a top speed of 358 mph, a range of 4,100 miles, a ceiling of 31,000 feet, and carried over 9,500 gallons of 100 octane gasoline. Just thought you might like to know!
The Georgia run-off, we all hope, will keep Republicans in control of the Senate, but if they lose, it just might be the cause of Trump himself. He went to Georgia and spent most of his time telling everyone that he won, which I am certain will make a lot of voters stay home, telling themselves they have had enough of thousands of tweets, and hundreds of remarks made on the spur of the moment, without a bit of common sense of even truth. I love the man, gave him money, and he has done great things for America. Stupid, thoughtless remarks, before even was elected, helped to bring on his own defeat. I refer to his remark about McCain being stupid because he was captured. It went on from there for four years. If he runs again in 2024, I hope someone will teach him to shut up most of the time, and become a president which no one will have complaints about his mouth.
