I used to say, “I love Trump,” but I now change that to say, “I love what Trump did.” After Wednesday, January 6th, and a long article I just read and will forward to anyone who wants to read it, I divorce myself from him, and if he ran again, I would not vote for him, just like millions of others didn’t vote for him in Georgia, and the USA as a whole, because they were sick of his ego, endless tweets, and a total lack of having even the remotest idea of how a president should conduct himself. Trump’s mouth always is in overdrive before his brain is placed in gear, and it showed itself Wednesday, when he told millions to congregate in D.C. (maybe 50,000 showed up), gave another hour plus lecture about how wonderful he is and how he won, (he didn’t), and then told them to march the 19 blocks to the Capitol. You know what then happened, to the utter outrage of the entire world.
A quick look at Trump’s Atlantic City shenanigans years ago, tells a lot about him. A well-researched, long article about him and his Atlantic city escapades, robbing investors, and blaming everyone but himself for his failures is shocking, to put it mildly. It’s far too long to even begin to put it up here, but if you e-mail me, I will forward it to you. He lost the election, but rather than accepting defeat, and possibly examining himself for his failure, when every other Republican candidate won, he blamed the voting machines and every other thing but himself for his defeat…just as he did in Atlantic City. Trump’s power of persuasion got millions of us to believe the fictions, and become outraged. Me too, for a while, but I soon got off of the doomed bandwagon.
I look back on Trump’s four-year term, and am in awe of his accomplishments. He indeed did keep his promises. He insulted everyone, murdered an Iranian general, which certainly is not presidential or even legal probably, but good riddance, I guess. He lied and threatened and cajoled for four years, but he kept his promises, and we all loved him, in spite of his unbridled ego. It never got in the way of our deep-felt appreciation of his being there and working hard to fulfill his promises. We, and Trump himself I suspect, never realized how much he had offended a good portion of voting America. We never knew, till he was defeated, and other Republicans won. I sent him money many times, and I am certain a lot of us did, and we don’t regret it I am sure. But the election drove home the fact that he had offended many Republicans, and of course some Democrats who also voted for him four years ago. The Swamp tried for four years to get rid of him, and never even accepted the fact that he legitimately won. He defeated himself, in spite of his great achievements, much to the delight of Democrats.
Trump’s failure to accept defeat, when 60 or so courts threw out his attorney’s futile law suits, and another one on Friday, certainly should have been a red light in the highway for his re-election, but no one paid any attention. It took me a while to realize that he legitimately lost, but I finally saw the light, and his Wednesday disgusting performance, sealed it for me.
What will happen now that Democrats have full control of the U.S. Government? I shudder at the thought, except it will be good for metals, I am confident. Many economic ‘experts’ predict that the dollar will shrink in value (inflation) and metals prices will shoot up. When? I have no idea, but I feel safe in metals rather than in dollars or dollar denominated items.
