Paper is an interesting item, and was fist invented about 200 BC, in China. Today, there’s paper everywhere, even though a lot of it has been substituted by digital. Therefore, I combine them both, because both have very useful purposes, and their use cannot be denied. In hard times back in the 20’s and 30’s, and even now in poverty-stricken places, paper in layers, can even be used as insulation. Some modern insulation consists of ground up paper, treated with fire proof chemicals. I’ve used it myself several times. Other insulation, such as fiberglass, can get into your skin, and it isn’t pleasant to remove. So much for insulation. How about paper gift wrapping, paper envelopes, and even crumbling up paper to pack valuable glass? I can think of all sorts of uses for paper or cardboard.
Books and Reading Materials
What better use of paper could there be, than the printing press! I’ve never counted them, but I am sure I have in excess of 2,000 books on my several shelves in a couple of rooms. I have no more room, and when I get a new or used one, I discard another, which I consider less important that the new arrival. People that don’t read, have missed one of life’s most important and enjoyable activities. The printing press was invented by Johann Gutenberg in 1440, and what a wonderful invention that was! I read the Wall Street Journal and National Review for politics and economics, plus lots of other publications, as does my wife, Bonnie. We’re a reading household! As I mentioned before, I have a list of 100 or so customers of Colorado Gold, to whom I send stuff to weekdays, and if you’d like to be on the list, there’s no charge. E-mail me.
Documents
There are hundreds of documents necessary for our life. Some pleasant, some unpleasant, and others, maybe neutral. When you get a paper speeding or other ticket, that isn’t too pleasant, but maybe it teaches you where to park, or how fast to drive. That paper may teach a lesson, albeit a costly one. Paper licenses to operate a business, mine coal, drill for oil or gas, and even to get married, are all of the highest necessity. Building a home of other building, requires a paper building permit, as does paper wiring, plumbing, foundation, and even zoning permits. You can’t catch a fish or shoot an elk without a paper license.
Protection
Your paper passport, proves you are an American citizen, and without one, you can find yourself in a heap of trouble, if you are in a foreign land. The paper label on luggage, allows you to retrieve it, protects you against theft, or in case of being lost, where it belongs. Your paper ticket on an airline, railroad or bus, proves your right to be on it. If you leave a suit to be drycleaned, your paper receipt proves it’s yours, and the same with an item left to be repaired, such as the Biden lap-top computer left for repairs, and never retrieved. That was great for Republicans, and if the media and Twitter hadn’t buried it, Trump might have easily won on the last election. If you are at an auction, your cardboard paddle held up, proves that you are a registered bidder, so you are protected when you bid.
Titles and deeds
Without a paper title or deed to your car, motorcycle, home, farm, you are lost if you wish to buy or sell virtually anything of more than instant value, and these paper titles and deeds, are deemed safe when they are recorded in a governmental agency. If you are holder or buyer-seller of stocks, you must first register with a broker to prove your ability to legally buy or sell stocks. Unfortunately, if you own stocks today, you no longer have a piece of paper showing the number of shares the certificate represents. On my wall, I have a certificate showing that someone had a thousand shares of the “Canyon City, Royal Gorge, and Florence Interurban Line,” @$100 per share. It’s only a wall decoration now. Shares, now are recorded on computers, and you’d better hope that a massive electrical collapse wouldn’t erase all the billions of shares stored in computers. I’m sure there are all sorts of backups, but couldn’t it happen? If a courthouse burned down and your deeds went with it, and you didn’t have a copy of those documents, you would be in bad fix. Copies of all important documents should be stored in your fireproof safe, along with your gold and silver, and a few extra guns left over, after you have covered all; doors and entrances.
Carry Permits
This is one piece of paper I do not have, and do not intend to obtain. In Colorado, and I assume other places, it is not ‘illegal’ to carry a firearm visibly, and I am beginning to think it might be smart to carry one invisibly, at all times. Our church’s attendants, lock the doors once service begins, and I think that’s a sound policy. You might think about that for your church, if you go to one. A paper carry permit, is simply a notice that you have a gun, and I don’t want that possession known. Our Constitution allows us to carry arms, but says nothing about a paper carry permit. There are probably well over 150 million guns in private hands in America, and this well-known fact, must give politicians the shivers at the thought. If the Swamp got really out of control, there would be 150 million guns of all shapes and sizes on the street almost instantly.
Massive protests in China, brought the lock down at an end, and in Iran, the murder of one woman who had her hair visible, has almost brought down that slave state. They had no guns, and If Russians ever get through state control of the media and find out what their ‘president’ Putin is doing in Ukraine, his days may be numbered, although there is a rumor that he has a fatal disease, which may end the slaughter.
Gold and Silver
Gold and Silver are protection and insurance, with no paper trail, no paper registration, license, or government interference of any kind, although I am certain that Democrats and other liberals and socialists (is there a difference?) would dearly love to enslave Americans with endless rules, regulations and laws to prohibit and even confiscate our guns. Whenever there is a shooting, it always requires major headlines and stories on the media, but when a gun owner shoots a criminal, it is never reported. When you purchase gold and silver from us, we buy it for you, in our name, not yours, and we don’t want your Social Security number or driver’s license number. I’ve done a $400,000 deal for a customer, and I have no idea what his numbers are, or a $2500 deal too, with no numbers. Many of our customers make their checks out to our individual name, rather than having the word “gold” on them. Gold and silver, have no deed or title, and your ownership of them physically, not on a paper which says you own them. What better proof or ownership could there be, than physical possession? This beautiful insurance, has no monthly payments or policies, and the Securities and Exchange Commission knows nothing about your gold and silver. Their contents are plainly on the coins or bars, and shows their purity and weights. What else could be necessary? don@coloradogold.com or 1-970-249-4646
