Rich?

The latest scam proffered by the liberals, is that we need to, ‘Tax the rich and give to the poor,’ as opposed to the correct version, which is, ‘Don’t tax, and give voluntarily to the poor.’   Democrats and liberals love the idea of,  “The rich must pay their fair share” I think that’s the way it goes, but the idea is, ‘let’s make us all ‘equal,’ in spite of the fact that even in nature, humanity, manufactured goods, produce at the grocery store, or even snowflakes, there is no such thing as equality in anything.

Are the rich to be condemned because they have so much, have inherited or made a lot of money?  I think not. Let’s see what a few rich people have done with their wealth.  Andrew Carnegie, built 2850 public libraries, which he gave to towns and cities.  Silverton Colorado, has one, as does Phoenix, Arizona.  Carnegie, bought 6,000 pipe organs, and donated them to churches, and built New York’s famous Carnegie Hall.  He formed dozens of foundations, and donated nothing, “To those who have not tried to help themselves first.”  When Carnegie Hall was threatened in 1956, famous violinist Isaac Stern, and Leonard Bernstein, donated millions and raised more to save it.  Cyrus Curtis, in 1891, founded the Curtis Publishing Company, and started the Saturday Evening Post, Ladies Home Journal, and Holiday magazines.  He founded Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute, which has been giving free tuition to talented musicians, for over 130 years.  My late best friend, Keith Chapman, graduated from Curtis, and was given the job of playing the world’s second largest pipe organ at the Wanamaker Department store in Philly.

Walter P. Chrysler, built the Chrysler Building in New York, and Frank Woolworth, built the Woolworth Building there also.  Almost from our founding, wealthy people have liberally donated to charities.  John D. Rockefeller, donated over $500 million, which is more than $5 trillion today, and the list is almost endless, making America the richest nation on earth.

How about current times?  Taylor Swift, has donated $625,000 to Nashville’s flood relief fund.  Elton John, donated $38 million in 2016 alone, and Dolly Parton’s “Imagination Library,” has donated over 60 million books.  She built “Dollywod,” which gives jobs to hundreds.  Willie Nelson, founded “Farm Aid,” and has donated over $45 million to farmers, not counting all the musicians who donate their time for it.  Michael Bloomberg, donated $3 billion in 2023, and Ruth Gutterman donated one billion dollars last year, to the Einstein College of Medicine, so that needy and qualified would-be doctors, will pay no tuition.

What do rich people do with their money, other than enjoy it, provide millions of jobs, and give endless amounts to charity?  Big mansions?  How many hundreds of people built them and maintain them?  How much property taxes are collected from them?  A rich person, can only wear one pair of shoes at a time, have so many cars, large homes, and enjoy themselves in any way they can conceive, but everything else of that wealth, regardless of where it is spent, creates more wealth, whereas taxes paying their ’fair share,’ destroy wealth.  It’s all so simple!  Any money spent, to see the world, build a huge mansion, start a business, be successful in any way, creates more wealth.  A rich person’s will, leaving everything to their kids, also creates wealth when they spend it. GOVERNMENT AND TAXATION, DESTROY WEALTH.   CAPITALISM (freedom) CREATES WEALTH.  Or to put it correctly, communism, socialism, bureaucracy, deficit spending by government, or the political version of it, the Democrat Party, even back to the Civil War, whenever it they have been in office, caused America to go down-hill.  Republicans wanted to free the slaves, but the Democrats vetoed their efforts.  Keep your savings away from government.  Use it to buy anti-government insurance.  Work hard, think hard, get rich, spend and enjoy it.  Don’t hate those who have it, have done it or inherited it.  Life’s to be enjoyed.  Just save your surplus with Colorado Gold!
