I’ve often said that there’s real money and fake money. There are different brands of fake money. As an example of the fake, I have a one hundred trillion dollar Zimbabwe bank note (that’s 14 zeros) and also a 500 trillion note, from a bank in “Hapoaha,” wherever that is. It’s not in dollars, but in some unknown currency, and it has a portrait of a nice bearded gentleman who’s not identified, on its face. That’s also 14 zeros. The Russian ruble is worth a bit more than a penny U.S., and the Chinese yuan is worth about 14 cents U.S. That may crumble, as they have millions of un-lived-in-unsold apartments and homes, enormous debts, and as I have said many times, I think China is doomed economically.
U.S. real confederate paper dollars, believe it or not, are worth about face in U.S. dollars, so many of them were used as insulation and kindling to start fires. I have one in a frame on my wall. Fake U.S. hundred-dollar bills have become so plentiful, that many retailers will take no more than $20 bills as payment.
While the U.S. longshoremen’s strike has been settled after three days, they won a 62% wage increase over 10 years, which is 6.2% each year in their pay, (They’re already making well over $100,000 a year), which means every other union will strike and get the same, or to put it succinctly, all wages and prices will go up in the next few years, which translates into higher inflation than we already have, or an increasing rate of demonetization of the U.S. dollar. We must store any surplus assets in real money, not fake, which is what 100% of paper monies in the world are. We have to use them to buy, but not to save.
Each year, over 11 million containers arrive in U.S. ports, containing things from other nations, but mostly China. You know of course about China and the virus they created, which has and still is, killing hundreds of millions of innocents. That should alone, be enough to cease and desist from buying ANYTHING from China. The Journal recently pointed out, that many of America’s defense items are made in China, along with a huge majority of prescription ingredients. Each purchased item ‘made in China,’ helps our enemy! Imagine, if we got into a tussle with China, and our defense items are made by our enemy!
The U.S. dollar is the strongest un-backed currency in the entire world, and it has lost 95% of its buying power in the last 75 years. Imagine what the rest of them have lost! All have lost value, because of reckless spending by governments, which no citizen can stop with votes or any other effort. Republicans and Democrats, both spend stupidly to gain votes, or to be literal, buying votes. Trump devalued the dollar just as much as has Biden, unfortunately. Many have voted to get rid of American, French, and British governing and civilizing governments and protection, to be on their own, which has always cost currency value as well as good government. Rhodesia was once a thriving British colony, was relatively free, prosperous, industrial, and exported food and machinery. The Brits were voted out, and the following government, Zimbabwe, destroyed the entire nation. There are many other examples, especially in Africa.
(I have a list of over a hundred, I send things to every weekday. Economics, politics, cartoons, etc. I’ll add your name to the list at no charge if you wish. E-mail me).
In the Bible, the word “GOLD,” is used 417 times, and the word “SILVER,” is used 321 times. These two have been real, not fake money for thousands of years, even back to Biblical times.
No one has yet to figure a way to reduce the value of these metals in any language or in any currency, issued by any government. (Silver went up and settled down again quickly, just over ten years ago, possibly because of futures market trades). Silver and gold require certain processes to produce, and none are cheap like printing paper currencies backed by nothing. Gold and silver are self-backed, and require exploration, mining, milling, smelting, manufacturing, and distribution, plus transport in all items. Colorado Gold has no offices, or expenses other than our homes where we live, and that’s it. I have no idea what a TV ad costs, because we do no advertising of any kind, or have any other expense. We charge a 1% fee above our absolute wholesale cost, delivered to your door. For large orders, a half percent, and last week, I did a $499, 528 order, and charged a quarter percent. No one can operate more efficiently than my three kids, and me on occasion.
Our supplier, is the largest distributer in the world, and has offices in America and Europe. We’ve been dealing with them for 47 years, (nine zeros a year), and have never had a problem of any kind with them.
