Honestly, I can think for myself, and can easily write about my ideas and thoughts, but when a Journal piece comes around and explains what we’ve all wondered about, it just has to be a column! Ever wonder why college graduates seem to turn out to be blazing liberals, in direct opposition to the way their families raised them?
Following is part of a column in June 17th Journal, written by John Ellis:
“Children have abysmal scores in math and English, partly because radical professors in college education schools persuade their (graduating) teachers, to give priority to “Social justice,” over the three R’s. The notorious political bias of the media has developed, partly because journalists are trained in activist college journalism schools. Other professions have suffered similarly.
“Universities collectively, are now the national headquarters of the radical left. Radicals use them as a base from which to infiltrate and gain control of professional associations, foundations, non-profits, advocacy groups, corporate offices, editorial boards, government departments, and even churches.
“Democrats are waking up to the realization that their party’s leaders are excessively influenced by the pseudo intellectuals of higher education. Two thirds of Democratic voters oppose men in women’s sports, yet House and Senate Democrats were nearly unanimous in voting against legislation this year that would have protected female athletes from male competition. The healthy two-party political system that we once had, may not be possible while radicals dominate the Democratic Party, through their control of academics.
“The federal government’s Harvard letter, rightly confronts a crucial question: Should public money support institutions that have all but abandoned much of their original purpose?”
Neither myself, nor anyone in my current reading, could have said it better!
Iran
There’s no question about Iran’s long time attempts to build an atomic bomb with which to destroy Israel. There’s also no question that Iran, over the past decades has killed thousands of U.S. soldiers, sailors and civilians. Israel, with help from the U.S. is having a successful, time destroying Iran’s surface atomic facilities, but the main one seems to be several hundred feet underground. Trump is taking two weeks to decide if he wants to use a “Bunker Buster” bomb to at least attempt to wipe out Iran’s underground factory.
Since bombing Iran with a U.S. bomb, would require a U.S. bomber to do it, due to its weight, wouldn’t it be an absolute proof of America’s involvement in Israel’s war, and not just supplying it with ammunition? Wouldn’t it better to bomb the basement’s entrance, so that nothing could get in or out? If there s a huge freight elevator between the surface and the works several hundred feet below ground, wouldn’t a surface-entrance to the below ground works, cause the freight elevator to crash to its bottom, and maybe destroy what’s inside? Wouldn’t that technically keep us out of Israel’s conflict? Wouldn’t bombing the surface of the underground works, probably destroy it, without the U.S. bomber and huge bomb?
Trump has vowed to keep America out of another war, and more power to him for doing it, so far. Couldn’t America using a huge bomb dropped from a U.S. plane, be getting us into a war? I think so. Israel has said that she can take care of Iran by herself without our bomber and huge bomb. I say, let her do it!
