Brian Kuhregner, who murdered three young girls, has changed his plea to “Guilty,” to avoid being put to death for his heinous crime of murdering the three young girls. He will now get ‘three life sentences without possibility of parole.’ I have just checked, and the yearly cost per prisoner kept in a federal prison, runs from $307,460 in Massachusetts, to about $35,000 in Alabama, with an average of $70,000 per year per prisoner. Since the murderer will probably have an additional 60 years to live, ‘without possibility of parole,’ simple arithmetic tells taxpayers, they will spend $4,200,000 during his lifetime, for his keep, not counting inflation, which will continue to exist as long as the sun rises each morning, unless governments stop placing value on un-backed paper money.
Think about that if you please. He has admitted guilt, to save him from execution, and it will cost taxpayers over four million dollars to preserve his worthless life.
From a column I wrote in 2007:
“Criminals always seem to repeat. Maybe it’s because they had so much fun committing their crimes, and being caught was because they didn’t take proper precautions. Maybe they’d do it again to perfect their modus-operandi? If it was robbery, all that free money without being caught, might be quite an allure to try it again. It’s been said that sex perverts cannot be ‘cured,’ and will always revert. That’s why they are supposed to register wherever they may live or even visit. Ever note that when criminals are apprehended, often they were parole violators?
”My question is, why is there any such thing as parole in the first place? If a crime has been committed, proven, and the culprit apprehended and found guilty, why not sentence him (or rarely her) to whatever the law calls for, and let it go at that? Why should a criminal be free after so many years or months, ‘for good behavior? Why should a criminal be freed a single minute before his sentence is finished? Why should a judge take into consideration anything but what the guy did, and how he should pay?
Time off, or parole, makes absolutely no sense to me. The cost of parole officers, the endless tracking and worrying about parolees is mighty large. Think about how much simpler and cheaper the justice system would be without parole.” I just checked, and the cost per parolee per year is about $4,000.
“I can’t help but remembering the Gilbert & Sullivan song about the matter, which goes, “My object oh sublime, I shall achieve in time, to let the punishment fit the crime, the punishment fit the crime.” This goes also…in my opinion…to hardened criminals, rapists, and murderers in penitentiaries who should have been executed rather than being locked up for the rest of their lives. I am in favor, not only of capital punishment, but far more of it which is practiced today in those states which still permit it. What is wrong with executing a murderer, rapist, child molester, or worthless scum? I don’t care about childhood upbringing, poverty, or lousy parents. I care only about what he has done and getting rid of him once and for all time. Turn on the gas, juice, or hang him. America is overrun with law violators, welfare blood suckers, let free criminals, and all sorts of worthless animals who simply should not exist a longer. And while we’re at it, stop letting juries decide the punishment. Let the victims decide maybe.”
So much for the 2007 column. I know, many will say, “how about innocents who have been wrongly convicted?” Let the courts decide. Or maybe “That is too severe a punishment.” Let the courts decide. That’s why courts and juries exist.
Today, Trump has sealed the borders, which Biden not only kept open, but actually invited illegals in, to partake of American welfare, medical care, schooling, and all which we have available at taxpayer’s expense. That’s what election are for, and it seems pretty obvious that the Democratic party is trying to destroy America, if the New York Mayoral primary has shown proof if that.
Injustices occur constantly, and especially in foreign communist nations, which Americans shouldn’t have visited in the first place. If laws were enforced, as well as punishments for law violators, it seems obvious to me, that careless people would soon be more careful, and potential criminals would think about their desire more realistically. If laws were enforced and punishments accordingly, as per Gilbert & Sullivan, crime would plummet incredibly. Illegals were invited, and now it is difficult to get rid of them. Shop lifting in San Francisco is not even noticed if it is under a certain amount. Guess what? Businesses are going out of business, and criminals and shoplifters are rampant.
I’m deeply sorry for poorly raised kids, and lackadaisical parents, resulting in crimes being committed, but why should us innocents suffer? We suffer at the hands and actions of bad kids having been raised by bad parents, but it is not our fault, and we should not be made to suffer for others’ guilt. Let the guilty pay. Sorry, I guess I am being severe, but I‘m tired of more and more leniency in the judicial system. You think capital punishment is not Scriptural? Check out Genesis 9:5,6. Exodus 21: 12-26. Matthew 5:15. Or Romans 13:1-7.
